The championship will officially be unveiled.
Back in July, NXT U.K. kick-started the tapings for their television show that premiered last month on the WWE Network. Over the past few weeks subscribers have been getting double-dosage of the NXT U.K. brand as two new episodes have been airing back-to-back at the 3 PM and 4 PM EST slots and next week's new episodes will be based around the NXT U.K. Women's Championship.
At the August tapings in Birmingham, England, a tournament was held featuring: Toni Storm, Xia Brookside, Jinny, Rhea Ripley, Isla Dawn, Millie McKenzie, Dakota Kai and Nina Samuels. The competitor who emerged victorious from that tournament as champion was the 22-year Rhea Ripley.
Next Wednesday on NXT U.K. TV the tournament kicks off with some single elimination matches. Also on tap for next week's show at the 3 PM EST slot is Tyler Bate versus Ashton Smith, and a Wolfgang match against an unnamed opponent. At the 4 PM EST slot is two matches from the NXT U.K. Women's Championship tournament, and a bout between Trent Seven and Zack Gibson.
