NXT vs. TNA Invasion Renamed To NXT vs. TNA Showdown
WWE has changed the name of NXT vs. TNA Invasion to NXT vs. TNA Showdown. The event is still scheduled for October 7.
The name change was made official on September 30th. WWE removed Invasion branding from its website, promoting the show as a “special event.”
Matt Hardy tipped off fans as to the name change.

Wrestlevotes first reported the news.
The October 7th date coincided with the second anniversary of the Hamas attacks in Israel that triggered the war in Gaza.
WWE previously used the Invasion name for a WWE vs. WCW event in 2001.
