The NXT Women?s Championship will be on the line next week.
It was announced during night two of the Great American Bash that NXT Women?s Champion Io Shirai will defend her title against No. 1 contender Tegan Nox on the July 15 episode of NXT.
Nox won her way into a title shot after she won a four-way elimination match that also involved Mia Yim, Dakota Kai and Candice LeRae. This will be Nox?s first singles title shot that will be televised on NXT.
Shirai has held the title ever since she defeated both Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley at NXT TakeOver: In Your House back in June. Since then, she entered a brief feud with WWE Women?s Tag Team Champions Bayley and Sasha Banks. Shirai and Banks had a match on the first night of the Great American Bash on July 1, which saw Shirai come out as the winner.
Later on in the show, it was revealed that Damian Priest will take on Cameron Grimes in a rematch of their first encounter back in later June.
