Raquel Gonzalez gets her first challenger.
On Tuesday's NXT it was announced that Raquel Gonzalez will defend her NXT Women's Championship against Mercedes Martinez on the May 11 episode of NXT.
Martinez made her intentions clear that her target was Gonzalez after Gonzalez won the NXT Women's Title from Io Shirai at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. Martinez battle Dakota Kai on Tuesday's NXT and seemed to be near victory, but Gonzalez got involved in the match, causing a DQ.
Gonzalez decimated Martinez after the bell, tossing her into the ringside glass.
The NXT Women's Title bout was made official during the main event.
