NXT Women’s North American & WWE Women’s Speed Title Unification Match Made Official For Heatwave PLE

A title unification match was added to Heatwave.

There was an NXT Women’s North American Championship match that took place on the August 11th NXT on The CW.

The champion ZARIA defended against Wren Sinclair. During the bout, Saquon Shugars and Dion Lennox continued their fight from their singles match earlier on the show, and it made its way into the ring during the Women’s North American Title bout.

Their inadvertent involvement led to ZARIA scoring a win over Sinclair to retain. Later in the show, Sinclair approached NXT General Manager Robert Stone about a rematch.

As a way to convince Stone to make it official, she offered to put her WWE Women’s Speed Championship up for grabs in a title unification match, and Stone set the bout.

Below is the updated lineup for NXT Heatwave on August 30th:

• NXT Championship: Tony D’Angelo (c) vs. TBD
• NXT Women’s Championship: Kendal Grey (c) vs. Kelani Jordan
• Title Unification Match — NXT Women’s North American & WWE Women’s Speed Championships: ZARIA (North American) vs. Wren Sinclair (Women’s Speed)
