Over the years, athletes from other sports have crossed over and began careers in WWE, with varying degrees of success throughout these names. For one giant of professional wrestling, while his parents would keep in other sports throughout his childhood, they were concerned when he came to them about joining WWE.
While speaking to Seconds Out in a new interview, Omos would speak on his parents’ reaction to telling them he would be signing with WWE, noting that they were ‘kinda terrified.’
“Not really, and they were actually quite scared cause when I told them I was gonna join WWE, all they could think of was, oh my goodness, being put through tables, taking chair shots. So as a parent, which I understand, they were kinda terrified, but luckily enough, I’ve been the one causing all the harm, not the other way around.”
Omos competed on night one of TripleMania on Friday, facing off with Rey Mysterio. You can read more about that here.
