Paige Offers Her Thoughts On How Mandy Rose And Sonya Deville Are Faring Without Her

Paige speaks about her former 'Absolution'-mates

In November of 2017 former two-time WWE Divas Champion Paige made her return to WWE after being away from the company for a year because of a number of issues. Paige was not alone in her return to WWE as she was flanked by debuting NXT talents Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose and the trio soon revealed that they were going to be known as 'Absolution'. Unfortunately for Paige and the then-newcomers to the main roster Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose, Paige went down with an injury at an live event which resulted in her having to hang her boots up and put an end to her wrestling career

Paige had the ring to herself the night after WrestleMania 34 on RAW and in that moment she officially announced her retirement from professional wrestling. The following night on SmackDown Live, commissioner Shane McMahon Paige revealed that the new GM of the blue-brand was going to be Paige. The "Anti-Divas'" former 'Absolution'-mates were moved over to the blue brand as well via the 2018 WWE Superstar Shake-Up and all three of them have been a part of the same brand dating back to November of 2017. During a recent interview with 'VultureHound', the SmackDown GM was asked about Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose and she had the following to say:

"First off, I absolutely feel there should be Women?s Tag Team Championships. I really want that to happen. Sonya and Mandy are doing so well together and separate but, it?s just hard, they hadn?t been in NXT that long then they?re brought up and after I had to bow out with my injuries, I don?t think I?d had a chance to help them get established enough before they were sent out on their own. But Mandy?s great, she?s kind of an old-school diva and Sonya, she was killing it in NXT, working with Asuka and Ruby Riott on non-televised shows and she had that great match with Charlotte the other week. I just think they both have so much potential and when the time is right, with so many storylines going on, sometimes people have to wait for their turn but when they get their shot, it?ll be amazing." Paige expressed. "I can?t think of any teams that aren?t already together; there?s Absolution, well, there was Charlotte and Becky not really anymore though, there are Asuka and Naomi, The IIconics, beyond Carmella, there isn?t really anyone else left to put in a team."

Also during this interview, Paige further commented on her career-ending injury and how she did not like seeing the hate that Sasha Banks received for it. To read the full interview, click here
