Paul Heyman: 'Brock Lesnar Legitimately Does Whatever Brock Lesnar Wants To Do'

Paul Heyman says Brock Lesnar is very aware of his partnership with Roman Reigns.

Paul Heyman is now paired with Roman Reigns on SmackDown, his first appearance on WWE TV since Brock Lesnar’s WWE contract expired late last month.

TNA IMPACT (4/25/2024) Results: Nic Nemeth vs Eddie Edwards, Matt Hardy Returns, Mike Santana, More

Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Paul Heyman revealed that Brock Lesnar is well aware of Paul Heyman's new alliance with his former rival and is not concerned about it because, like Paul always says, Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do.

“Brock Lesnar is very aware that I am working with Roman Reigns,” Heyman says. “There shouldn’t be any confusion here. Brock Lesnar legitimately does whatever Brock Lesnar wants to do. There is no shortage of box-office appeal in the name Brock Lesnar. If and when Brock Lesnar wants to capitalize on that box office appeal, his name will be ringing from the headlines the moment he decides to return to the ring.”

Paul Heyman says that Roman Reigns returning brings everybody on SmackDown onto “the island of relevancy,” even saying that Roman Reigns saved him from obscurity.

“Roman Reigns coming back to WWE gives everyone on the roster an opportunity to redefine themselves,” Heyman says, who has creative input into Reigns’s storylines. “They now inhabit what I refer to as ‘The Island of Relevancy.’ Roman Reigns is the headliner, which instantly makes everyone relevant. He is the single biggest superstar of the past decade and remains that today. Everyone gets a chance to redefine themselves in the orbit of the tribal chief, the centerpiece of WWE.”

Upon his 2012 return, Brock Lesnar has had more matches with Roman Reigns than any other superstar in WWE.

Recently, Dana White also said that he doesn't see Brock Lesnar returning to the UFC. Learn more about that at this link.
