A wrestler’s diet differs for each individual talent’s experience and for Wight, he had his own eating habits before he stepped into the ring, as well as having seen some strange habits from other talents.
While speaking to Sky Sports in a recent interview, Paul Wight was asked what wrestlers eat before wrestling matches.
“It depends on the wrestler. Some guys like to have a higher protein, low carbohydrate. Some guys prefer not to eat. They like to wrestle on an empty stomach. Me, in the day, I was a couple of hot dogs before a match guy. Nothing made me feel better than having a couple of good stadium dogs before a match. One guy that you wouldn’t believe would not eat before a match, but after a match would eat an entire four-layer cake by himself in catering, and you won’t believe who he is. I’m not going to drop his name, but you wouldn’t believe who would eat an entire cake by himself. It’s not me, but you wouldn’t believe who did it. I’ll let you guys try to figure out who it is. Enjoy that rabbit hunt.”
Fightful Select recently had a report surrounding Wight’s contract with All Elite Wrestling. You can read more about that here.
