Pete Dunne Injured, Pulled From Destiny Wrestling Events

Potentially bad news for NXT UK Champion Pete Dunne.

Destiny Wrestling announced that Dunne has been pulled from their events this weekend due to an injury.

NEWS Due to circumstances beyond our control
Pete Dunne will not be able to make it to Canada this weekend. We apologize to everyone for any inconvenience but the show must go on and we are happy to announce that Tyler Bate & Trent Seven will still be coming to represent BSS -- pic.twitter.com/62jdcJOgA4

Not much information is known about the injury at this time, but commentator Zach McGibbon called the injury "severe."

Just heard that Pete Dunne has a "severe injury". Destiny Wrestling made the announcement after having to change their card. WWE to officially announce in a couple of days.

Dunne was scheduled to compete on Oct. 5 and 6 as part of the Raising Hell Tour before defending his Destiny Championship against Josh Alexander on Oct. 7 at the Raising Hell event.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer notes that Dunne is deal with a foot injury, but that it won't keep him from missing next weekend's NXT television tapings. Dunne was noticeably limping during his PROGRESS bout with Ilja Dragunov on Sept. 30.
