Pete Rose Says He Was Paid $50,000 For WrestleMania Appearance

Pete Rose has made multiple appearances at WrestleMania events, most famously at WrestleMania 14 when he was tombstones by Kane.

He appeared the following year as the San Diego Chicken, where he was once again tombstoned by Kane.

Appearing on The Whole Story podcast with Alex Feuz, Rose gave his payout for one of the appearances.

"Well, it's strictly a retired baseball player getting a gig, and that gig paid $50,000 to do WrestleMania, and let me tell you something about WrestleMania. I say this constantly. I have never met a wrestler there that wasn't a good guy. Backstage, Big Show, Undertaker, Stone Cold, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, they're all great guys behind the scenes. I love the wrestlers. They're entertainers. They understand they got a good gig going. I watch them a couple of times a week now. I root for Charlotte, Ric Flair’s my buddy," he said.

Rose did not specify which WrestleMania he received $50,000 for.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004 and returned as a guest host for WWE Raw on March 22, 2010.
