The first match of the AEW World Tag Team Championship tournament came with a bit of a shocker as Private Party advanced.
In the opening match of the October 9 episode of AEW Dynamite, Private Party defeated The Young Bucks in the first round of the tournament set to crown the first-ever AEW Tag Team Champions.

Private Party will now take on the winner of the Lucha Brothers vs. Jurassic Express match taking place in Philadelphia on October 16. The two winning teams will meet on October 23 in Pittsburgh in the semifinals.
