QT Marshall: I Used To Think Vince McMahon Would Laugh At How AEW Is Run, But F--k Him, I'm Good At This

QT Marshall once believed that Vince McMahon would laugh if he knew he was in a prominent position behind the scenes at AEW, but now, he is confident in his abilities.

QT Marshall, outside of the villain he portrays on TV, is actually one of the biggest assets behind the scenes in AEW. Originally joining the brand as Cody's off-camera assistant, Marshall, a veteran of the ring, was able to work his way up the ranks on camera and is now a regular part of AEW programming as the leader of The Factory.

When asked by Tony Schiavone on AEW Unrestricted how he feels about so many of the shows in AEW running through him as a trusted backstage official, Marshall admitted that he had some doubt in his own abilities and even said that he initially believed if Triple H and Vince McMahon knew how the promotion was actually run, they would laugh.

"I used to think, ‘Man, if Vince McMahon and Triple H found out how this was really happening, they would laugh.’ Then I realized, ‘You know what, I'm pretty good at this though. So fuck them.’ I thought about it for a while and then I just thought how honored I was honestly to be given the responsibility and trusted with that responsibility to pass along those details of what's supposed to happen on these shows. It's pretty cool."

He continued, "A couple of years ago when I opened up my training facility, I really thought that that was going to be it. I was just going to train wrestlers and kind of run our own little rinky-dink shows. That would be the end of it. Now that idea has turned into a dream job of helping run the complete opposite of a rinky-dink show. I’m helping to run one of the biggest shows, one of the number one television shows on TV. So it's pretty crazy how it all works out."

In the past, Tony Khan has personally commended QT Marshall publicly for his work ethic. Learn more here.
