Referee Earl Hebner Joins All Elite Wrestling; Referee Paul Turner Also Signed

Earl Hebner is All Elite.

Late on Tuesday night, All Elite Wrestling officially announced that referee Earl Hebner has signed with the promotion. Hebner has been a referee since the 1970s, working for Jim Crockett Promotions throughout the 80s. He made his debut for the World Wrestling Federation in 1988 and became the top official in the business during his time in WWF/WWE. He was infamously involved in the Montreal Screwjob in 1997. Hebner remained in WWE until 2005 when he was fired for selling merchandise without WWE permission. He spent a decade in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling and most recently refereed the two NWA World Heavyweight Title matches between Nick Aldis and Cody Rhodes at All In and NWA 70th Anniversary.

Hebner marks the fourth referee signing by AEW. Earlier this month they officially signed referees Rick Knox and Bryce Remsberg to the promotion. Paul Turner was also signed by the company.
