Brian Pillman Jr. was at the WWE Performance Center following his departure from AEW.

Trevor Lee (Cameron Grimes) Announced For First Post-WWE Appearance

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that that Pillman Jr. was training at the WWE Performance Center on Thursday, July 13, but no additional information about his status was provided. Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed this.

Brian, the son of former WWE star Brian Pillman, rose to prominence with MLW, especially during his run with Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Teddy Hart as the New Era Hart Foundation. Pillman Jr. started wrestling for AEW in 2-19, as he competed in the battle royale at AEW Double or Nothing 2019. He continued to wrestle on AEW programming, and he teamed up with Griff Garrison to form the Varsity Blonds.

Pillman signed a full-time deal with AEW in July 2021. Garrison had surgery in December 2022, and Pillman joined forces with Brock Anderson. He last wrestled for AEW at the House Rules event in May 13, where he and Anderson lost to The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn). Pillman has remained active on the independent scene.

Fightful will provide more information about Pillman's status as it becomes available.

Jim Ross recently shared his thoughts on Pillman Jr. leaving AEW. Check out his comments here.
