According to the report, Jericho became aware that Khan was trying to enter the wrestling business and had the idea that Khan could buy IMPACT in order to have an infrastructure and international deals in place. IMPACT was reportedly willing to talk to Khan, but Khan decided to start his own company rather buy an existing one.

As previously reported, WWE and IMPACT Wrestling officials met in mid-September. No details about the meeting were given, but IMPACT officials "stressed" that the meeting was not about a potential sale of the company or the video library.

IMPACT President Ed Nordholm reportedly held a meeting with talent prior to Monday's television tapings and once again reiterated that the company was not looking to sell.

As fans know, Khan got into business with Cody and the Young Bucks to form All Elite Wrestling with Jericho being their prize free agent signing.
