Conflicting Reports On Cody Hall Signing Contract With MLW

There are some conflicting reports regarding the news that Cody Hall has signed with MLW.

According to Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc, Cody Hall is under contract with MLW. Giri reports that Hall was signed in October, but no announcement had been made. Cody is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall.  The report notes that there has been a booking idea to put Hall in CONTRA Unit or possibly team him with Brian Pillman Jr. to feud with The Von Erichs or Injustice.

Post Wrestling went on to report that Hall did sign with MLW earlier this year. However, Post is reporting that both sides have since agreed to part ways and that it is unknown if Hall is still technically under his deal or not, but he is not in MLW’s plans.

MLW has not officially commented on the reports.

Hall has previously competed in DDT, AAA, NOAH, ROH, NJPW, and more. He has not been wrestling during the pandemic.

Court Bauer previously commented that with Davey Boy Smith Jr leaving the company and his spot on the roster opening up, new faces would be arriving. Bauer said, "With Davey's spot on the roster opening up, there will be a familiar face arriving soon to fill it. I'm a little surprised it hasn't leaked yet. This one is a big surprise."
