Dean Ambrose decided to keep it short and sweet.
During Monday's episode of Raw, many fans were surprised to see Dean Ambrose support his friend-turned-foe Seth Rollins in his upcoming WrestleMania 35 bout against Brock Lesnar. Following a dueling mics segment between Rollins and Lesnar's advocate Paul Heyman, Ambrose made his way to the ring, was handed a microphone by Rollins and said, "I've only got one thing to say to you: Slay the beast."
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Ambrose was originally scripted to do a longer promo discussing the history of The Shield and Roman Reigns before delivering the "slay the beast" line, but Ambrose reportedly "wasn't feeling it." As a result, Ambrose decided to keep his promo short and sweet. The show of support to Rollins was designed to turn Ambrose back into a babyface.
"The Lunatic Fringe" would go on to defeat EC3 in singles competition following his segment with Rollins, gaining a measure of revenge following his loss to EC3 the week prior. Ambrose is scheduled to leave WWE after his contract expires in April.
