Report: Edge vs. Randy Orton 'I Quit' Match Planned For WrestleMania 37

The feud between Edge and Randy Orton isn't over.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the current plan calls for Orton and Edge to square off in an I Quit match at WrestleMania 37. Given how far away WrestleMania 37 is and the ever-changing nature of WWE, these plans could always change, which Meltzer makes sure to note.

The series between Edge and Orton is tied 1-1 with Edge winning at WrestleMania 36 and Orton winning The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever at Backlash. The original plan reportedly called for the rubber match to take place at SummerSlam, but Edge suffered a torn triceps at Backlash. Orton is now planned to face Drew McIntyre for the WWE Title at SummerSlam, though WWE has not confirmed the bout.

Meltzer goes on to report that Edge and Daniel Bryan have "significant creative influence" and that the term he was given is that they are "part of the writing teams of the respective shows right now." Edge is currently on the Raw brand while Bryan is on SmackDown.

It is unknown when Edge will return to WWE television.
