Report: Jeff Jarrett Heavily Involved In WWE's Plans For The Indian Market

WWE is going to rely on someone with Indian promotion experience to help their Indian expansion.

According to a report by Sportskeeda, Jeff Jarrett will have a huge role in WWE's expansion into India and is currently looking for a homegrown star to build around. Jarrett headed a TNA Wrestling spinoff called Ring Ka King that aired exclusively in India on Colours nearly a decade ago.

Reportedly, WWE is set to kick off an NXT India brand at some time in 2021 with the first tapings being held in Orlando, Florida due to current travel conditions. The reported idea is to have a possible two-night tournament to get things going before introducing a weekly TV series. Jinder Mahal, Indus Sher, The Singh Brothers, Jeet Rama, and a handful of recent Indian PC recruits would likely be featured.

Eventually, When WWE is able to travel to India, the plan is to have a full Performance Center in the continent similar to the one in NXT.
