Report: Jim Ross To Return To AEW Dynamite On 5/6

Jim Ross is scheduled to return to work.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Jim Ross will be at the live episode of AEW Dynamite on May 6 in Jacksonville, FL. Ross worked the first AEW empty arena show (March 18) but has been noticeably absent in recent weeks from the commentary desk, though he did call the Jon Moxley vs. Jake Hager bout via tape.

Chris Jericho has filled in for Ross over the last month, calling the action alongside Tony Schiavone. Jericho is scheduled to wrestle on the May 6 episode of Dynamite, teaming with Sammy Guevara to take on Kenny Omega and Matt Hardy.

Meltzer goes on to report that Ross will "essentially relocate to Jacksonville" through May 27 instead of travel back and forth. Ross has been doing post-Dynamite shows with Taz and Excalibur during his time away from the arena.

Along with Jericho & Guevara vs. Omega & Hardy, Jon Moxley is scheduled to be in action on Wednesday when he faces Frankie Kazarian. Cody vs. Joey Janela is also scheduled for the show.

Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
