John Laurinaitis is reportedly gone from WWE.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports John Laurinaitis has been "officially, quietly, let go by the company." The termination reportedly happened "within the last week or so."
Fightful has since confirmed the news.
Laurinaitis is being investigated by the WWE Board in relation to the Vince McMahon-Wall Street Journal sexual misconduct story. Fightful reported "many expected Laurinaitis to be the 'fall guy' in it from a professional standpoint." Laurinaitis was put on administrative leave as Head of Talent Relations following the Wall Street Journal report.
Triple H was named EVP, Talent Relations on July 22, which is the same day Vince McMahon retired as CEO of WWE.
Laurinaitis had been working with WWE since the company purchased WCW in 2001. Along with his backstage duties, he was an on-screen authority figure from 2011-2012.
Fightful will continue to update fans on Laurinaitis' status as more is known.
