Report: Kalisto Signs Multi-Year Extension With WWE

WWE has locked up Kalisto as the former United States Champion has signed a multi-year extension with the company.

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet first reported the news. Sources reportedly said Kalisto decided to re-sign with WWE because he feels he still has a lot left to accomplish in WWE.

In August 2019, Kalisto tweeted "10 months...#freeagent" before deleting his tweet. Gran Metalik noted that he was also scheduled to be a free agent in ten months, replying with a "me too carnal." Braun Strowman replied by saying "#Adios"

Kalisto signed with WWE in 2013. He is a former NXT Tag Team Champion alongside Sin Cara, Cruiserweight Champion, and two-time United States Champion. He also won the 2015 Slammy Award for OMG Shocking Moment of the Year for his Salida del Sol off the top of a ladder through another ladder on Jey Uso at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs.

He last appeared on WWE television on the Survivor Series Kickoff show, challenging Lio Rush for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship in a triple threat bout that also featured Akira Tozawa.
