Report: Kazuchika Okada Working With Two Slipped Discs In Lower Back

Kazuchika Okada has reportedly been working through an injury.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports Kazuchika Okada has been working with two slipped discs in his lower back. It is unknown when the injury first occurred, but Meltzer notes that he's "hurting bad" backstage.

Okada has continued to work through the injury, wrestling on the Road To shows in the customary multi-man tag team matches. He went over 28 minutes against EVIL at NJPW Castle Attack on February 27. He is scheduled to compete against Shingo Takagi in the first round of the New Japan Cup on March 6.

NJPW has not made an official announcement on Okada's injury as he hasn't missed any shows.

He competed at the NJPW 49th Anniversary event on March 4, teaming with SHO & Tomohiro Ishii to defeat BUSHI, SANADA & Shingo Takagi. If you missed anything from NJPW 49th Anniversary event, check out Fightful's full report on the show by clicking here.
