Report: La Parka Out Of Hospital After In-Ring Accident In Mexico, AAA To Cover Medical Expenses

Some good news coming out of Mexico regarding La Parka's recovery.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Parka is out of the hospital and recovering from his life-threatening injuries that he had suffered at an event in Monterrey, Mexico from back in October. It is being reported that medical expenses have topped $157,000 but that AAA has covered all the expenses.

Parka (not LA Park of MLW), was taken to the hospital after suffering a serious injury during a four-way match against Rush, Murder Clown, and LA Park while wrestling for Kaoz Lucha Libre's 64 Anniversary Arena Coliseum event in Monterrey. The injury occurred when Parka attempted a suicide dive onto Rush, but his feet got caught on the ropes.

Parka came up short on the dive, smacking his head on the concrete outside the ring. Rush and ringside officials immediately checked on Parka, who laid on the floor seemingly unconscious. He was taken away on a stretcher and was reportedly diagnosed with a neck and cervical fracture and surgery was done on him to relieve pressure from the fracture vertebrae and repair it.

In the days after the accident, Parka was unable to talk and move his extremities, but would eventually be able to communicate and regain feeling in his arms and legs.
