Report: Many AEW Names Were Unwilling To Work With CM Punk; Was Collectively 'Voted Off The Island'

CM Punk was reportedly voted out of All Elite Wrestling.

A new update has been provided on CM Punk's stance in the AEW locker room, courtesy of the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Dave Meltzer noted that one top star in the company reportedly said that Punk's value on screen isn't worth the hassle that he causes backstage. Meltzer also revealed that many top stars, including Chris Jericho, were at the point of being unwilling to work with Punk.

The update also notes that another top star in the company said that Punk was collectively voted off the island by the AEW team, despite the fact that some of the roster was still willing to work on-screen with him.

On October 26, CM Punk's camp claimed to Wrestling Inc that Punk's dog Larry was injured in the backstage altercation. As a part of the update, Meltzer noted that this story was reportedly completely made up, citing that Punk was desperate because he was losing the investigation.

Punk has not been seen or mentioned on All Elite Wrestling programming since All Out on September 4. Meanwhile, a vignette aired on this past week's Dynamite featuring The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks). To learn more about the vignette, click here.
