Report: Michael Hayes And Paul Heyman 'Very Hands-On' With Roman Reigns' Heel Persona

Roman Reigns has a support system of legends helping build “The Tribal Chief.”

Roman Reigns has exploded onto the scene since August of 2020 with a new persona, a new manager, and a new attitude. Declaring himself “The Tribal Chief,” Roman Reigns has embraced the heritage and lineage he carries with him every night to the ring and says he no longer cares about doing the right thing from a societal perspective, he cares about doing the right thing for his family and every member, no matter how extended.

However, according to a new report. He cannot take credit for this new persona all on his own and it seems his relationship with Paul Heyman extends well beyond what fans see on television.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Paul Heyman has been writing a lot of the verbiage Roman has been saying on-screen and when it comes to his matches, Michael Hayes is reportedly the agent for “The Tribal Chief.”

Both Heyman and Hayes have a relationship with the Samoan Dynasty. In 1989, Paul Heyman was the manager of the Samoan SWAT Team, (Rikishi) Fatu and Samu and they went into a war games match at the 1989 Great American Bash, alongside the Fabulous Freebirds, who were, of course, headed by Michael Hayes.

Roman Reigns' next match is with Kevin Owens at WWE TLC, but legends have set their sights on potential matches with him. The Rock has stated that he won't do a match with Roman Reigns until potentially 2022, according to new reports. Bill Goldberg, however, says that Roman Reigns is next. Learn more at this link.
