NXT not going on the road anytime soon.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports NXT is contractually locked into Wednesday dates at Full Sail University through March 2020. NXT previously announced ticket dates for Wednesday events at Full Sail through January 2020.
Fans have wondered if WWE would take NXT on the road to compete against AEW Dynamite in the Wednesday Night War. Some have noted that NXT comes off as the "smaller promotion" by running at Full Sail, which holds up to a few hundred fans while AEW Dynamite takes place in arenas that can hold upwards of 9,000 fans.
It is unknown if WWE will take the gold brand on the road after their Wednesday contract with Full Sail expires at the end of March 2020.
It was a big week for NXT as the brand defeated AEW Dynamite in viewership for the first time since the two began going head-to-head on Oct. 2. At WWE Survivor Series, NXT won the battle of brand supremacy, getting the better of WWE Raw and SmackDown in the triple threat brand matchups.
