More titles could be coming to WWE.

The WWE Women's Tag Team Titles can be defended across all brands, including NXT.

On the March 3 episode of NXT, Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax defended the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles against Dusty Cup winners Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez. The bout ended in controversy when a Raw official, sent to the ring by WWE official Adam Pearce, stopped the match as Baszler had Kai locked in the Kirifuda Clutch. Gonzalez was the legal woman in the bout, which was the cause of controversy.

Following the incident, NXT General Manager William Regal and Pearce were seen discussing the matter in NXT offices.

Regal later stated he was going to make a "landscape shifting" announcement on the March 10 episode of NXT.
