After Matt Cardona arrived in the NWA following the Mike Knox/Trevor Murdoch match at NWA Hard Times 2, he attacked Da Pope, sending him careening into the steel steps. Now, a new report provides an update on the condition of the NWA mainstay.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Pope was released from the hospital early this morning after he was transported to the hospital last night after being legitimately hurt in the show-closing angle. Reportedly, Pope underwent X-Rays and other tests and is believed to have suffered a concussion, but is ultimately expected to be okay.

Pope later confirmed that he was evaluated and stressed the importance of modern medical protocol. Thanking the medical personnel that looked after him.
