Report: Rey Mysterio Has Signed His Three-Year Deal With WWE

Rey-Rey is staying with WWE.

According to a report by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rey Mysterio has signed the three-year contract offered to him by WWE. A prior report from Dave revealed that AEW matched the contract offer presented by WWE but despite this, Rey Mysterio will be staying with the WWE.

Dominik Mysterio, who recently competed in a Steel Cage Match on the September 14 Monday Night Raw against Seth Rollins, also weighed heavily on the mind of Rey Mysterio when deciding the fate of his career.

“One of the main reasons is to be able to prepare my son to eventually step in the ring one day,” Mysterio told WrestleZone in 2019. “I want to have the opportunity to share the ring with him before I at least make an announcement to retire. I think that’s probably the last check on my bucket list, to be able to step in the ring with my son and be next to him when he’s feeling what I’m feeling for the last thirty years.”

Fightful will continue to monitor the story and report any and all updates.
