Report: Rey Mysterio's New WWE Contract Is A Three-Year Deal

The terms of the new deal that Rey Mysterio recently signed with WWE have been reported.

On December 18, 2023, it was reported that Rey Mysterio had signed a new contract with WWE.

Now, a new report from Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling states that Mysterio's new deal is a three-year agreement. It is also reported that despite the fact Mysterio is currently sidelined with an injury, the legendary Luchador plans on wrestling throughout the length of this contract.

Mysterio with sidelined in mid-November and it was reported that he would be out of action for up to 8 weeks. On television, the injury occurred when Santos Escobar officially turned his back on the Latino World Order and attacked Mysterio on the November 10 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

Mysterio last wrestled against Logan Paul at WWE Crown Jewel on November 4, 2023. On that night, Paul defeated Mysterio and captured his first championship in WWE, the United States Championship.

Mysterio was first introduced to the WWE Universe in 2002 following the closure of WCW in 2001. He has had multiple stints with the promotion and returned to WWE full-time in 2018. In 2023, Mysterio took his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame.
