"The Boss" is out of action.
Sasha Banks missed several live events last weekend after not being cleared following her WWE Raw Women's Championship match with Ronda Rousey at Royal Rumble. As it turns out, she's still not cleared, even though she technically had a match on Monday's Raw.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio stated this week that Banks still hasn't been cleared, which is why she had limited physical interaction during her match against Nikki Cross and Alicia Fox on Monday. Sasha Banks' tag team partner Bayley did much of the heavy lifting and picked up the win for their team.
Banks was "attacked" by Nikki Cross and Alicia Fox before the match started, which gave her a storyline reason to not tag in. The extent of Banks' involvement in the match was pulling Bayley out of the way of the ring post when she was being attacked.
Bayley and Banks are still scheduled to compete in the WWE Elimination Chamber in just a week and a half, as they'll vie to be the first-ever WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. The match on Raw was a qualifier for that title match. WWE is hopeful that Banks will be ready to compete at the event.
