Report: Sonya Deville's Lawyer Objected To Hair vs. Hair Stipulation At WWE SummerSlam

Sonya Deville's lawyer reportedly didn't want her bald.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Deville's lawyer didn't believe it was a good idea for Sonya to shave her head and show up to court bald while legal proceedings are taking place in the case against her stalker.

Deville's match against Mandy Rose at WWE SummerSlam was originally scheduled to be a hair vs. hair contest, but was changed on WWE SmackDown to a loser leaves WWE bout. Deville lost the match, sending her on her way.

Deville appeared in court last week to testify against Phillip Thomas, who was arrested on August 16 after breaking into Deville's home and attempting to kidnap her. Thomas has been charged with aggravated stalking, armed burglary of a dwelling, attempted armed kidnapping, and criminal mischief. He is currently being held without bail.

It is unknown if and when Deville will return to WWE. In a backstage segment following the match, WWE cameras tried to get a word with Sonya, but she shoved them aside and said "do not call me that ever again."
