AEW Dynamite 5/19/21 Results Moxley and Kingston vs. The Acclaimed, Cage vs. Sydal, and much more

The show begins with AEW Commentator Jim Ross saying, "It's Wednesday Night, and you know what that means.” Ross then welcomes us to Daily’s Place, live from Jacksonville, Florida. The commentary team is Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, and Taz.

Christian Cage vs. Matt Sydal

Christian Cage and Matt Sydal begin with a tie-up; they hit the ropes, and Sydal hits Cage with a shoulder tackle. They tie up again, with Cage taking control of the match by keeping Sydal in a headlock. Sydal reverses, and it goes back and forth.

Cage takes a cheap shot at Sydal by slapping him in the corner after going to the ropes. Cage knocks Sydal out of the ring; Cage then hits Sydal with a low dropkick. Cage gets Sydal in the ring and goes for the cover, but Sydal kicks out. Cage follows it up with an uppercut to Sydal, which knocks Sydal down. Cage now hits Sydal with a backbreaker and then steps on Sydal's back and keeping him down.

Sydal hits Cage with a kick; Sydal goes to the top rope, but Cage slows him down. Cage goes for the suplex; however, Sydal counters and knocks Cage off the rope and hits Cage with the Meteora. Sydal hits Cage with a leg lariat and knocks Cage right back down, and then Sydal goes for the pin; Cage kicks out; Christian Cage is now up and hits Sydal with a backbreaker. Sydal soon gets some energy, but it does not last long as Cage hits Sydal with a big clothesline. Cage goes for the pin, but Sydal kicks out. Christian Cage ends it shortly after hitting Sydal with the Killswitch. Cage goes for the pin and gets the win.

Winner: Christian Cage

- After the match, Cage and Sydal shake hands. Ricky Starks comes out and distracts Cage and Sydal. Team Taz comes in and attacks Cage and Sydal. Adam Page now comes out to rescue Cage and Sydal, but it does not work, and Cage hits Page with a massive powerbomb.

- Brian Pillman Jr. talks about how he stayed away from wrestling because of his Father's dark side, but he says that 'The Young Bucks showed him that he could do it the right way."

- Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston cut a promo about their match with The Acclaimed; Moxley asks Kingston, "who are these guys?" and Kingston says, "Their rappers." Kingston then asks if they "have to do Superkicks?"

The Acclaimed vs. Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston

The Acclaimed come out to do their rap, and Caster mentions Renee Young and her podcast. Anthony Bowens was yelling out his catchphrase, and Moxley delivers a punch to Bowens before he can finish it. The match begins with Moxley and Caster; Moxley is going at Caster with a flurry of strikes. Eddie Kingston is tagged in, and he begins getting a few strikes in before he tags in Moxley again.

Kingston and Moxley are beating down Caster, but Caster gets the advantage when he hits Kingston in the throat and pulls Kingston off the top turnbuckle. They head to their first picture-in-picture commercial with Caster and Bowens in control. They are back from the commercial with Bowens and Caster still in control and working on the legs of Eddie Kingston.

Kingston makes it to Moxley for the hot tag; Moxley hits Caster with a release German suplex and a big lariat. Moxley has Bowens in a sleeper hold; Moxley releases it and drops Bowens straight down to the mat on the outside. Bowens and Caster make a cross diving and suplex combination move. They go for the pin, but Kingston breaks it up. Caster throws the chains to Bowens while the referee is distracted; Moxley then takes the Bowens stereo and hits Bowens with it. Kingston tags in Moxley; Moxley hits the paradigm shift. Moxley then pins Bowens to get the victory.

Winners: Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston

- Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page cut a promo about how they love what they did to Darby Allin and Sting. Page says he will be the nail in the coffin of Darby Allin. The lights go off, and Darby Allin and Sting are in the ring, and the lights come on, and they attack Sky and Page. Sting puts Sky in the Scorpion Death Lock. Page and Sky escape the ring; when they leave and go through the tunnel, The Dark Order comes out. Page and Sky have to retreat and find a different way out.

- They go backstage with Alex Marvez, asking Chris Jericho about his challenge against The Pinnacle; Jericho is talking to Dean Malenko and tells Marvez that he will make an announcement later.

- They go to a promo with The Pinnacle having dinner together and talking about how they have their advantage. MJF threatens The Inner Circle and says that they will not be around after Double or Nothing.

Rebel (w/ Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.) vs. Hikaru Shida

The match begins with Rebel showing the ref she has a knee injury, and Hikaru Shida attacks her. Shida then goes after the knee of Rebel. Shida is distracted by Dr. Britt Baker almost right away by holding Shida's title. The ref is distracted, and Rebel hits Shida with her crutch. Shida has Rebel in a submission hold, and Rebel taps out. Shida wins and is attacked right away by Baker. Baker poses with the title and then throws it down on top of Shida.

Winner: Hikaru Shida

- We get a promo from Kenny Omega and Don Callis going into the Trainer's Room where Orange Cassidy is getting looked over by the AEW head trainer Doc Sampson. Callis and Omega tell Cassidy that they will give him a contract to fight Omega after Double or Nothing. Cassidy rips the contract; Omega tells Cassidy could hurt him or potentially kill him. Callis hands Cassidy another contract and tells him to think it over.

- The Inner Circle's Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, and Ortiz. Ortiz says that he wants to fight, and Sammy Guevara agrees. Sammy says they will not stop with The Pinnacle until they get their match. Guevara says they (The Pinnacle) looked like fish last week, flopping around in the ring last week. Jake Hager says he is up for the rematch and says that The Inner Circle has said they have been the baddest since the start. Jericho now has the mic, and he wonders if it is all worth it? Jericho says the mental image of MJF throwing him on top of the cage. Jericho says you scared his family and friends.

Jericho asks himself if it was all worth it? He says 1,000% yes! Jericho and The Inner Circle accept the challenge. Jericho says Santana will be back next week. Jericho says, "Hell is coming for The Pinnacle; they will dance all over their faces and piss all over their graves."

Red Velvet vs. Serena Deeb (C)

Red Velvet and Serena Deeb stare at each other in the ring, and Deeb throws her shirt at Red Velvet and begins attacking Deeb. Deeb hits Red Velvet with a twisting neck breaker; Deeb goes for the pin, but Red Velvet kicks out. Red Velvet gets a few kicks in on Deeb; however, Deeb comes back at Red Velvet with a flurry of kicks to the midsection of Red Velvet. Red Velvet now turns it around and begins doing the same to Deeb. Red Velvet is on the ropes, and Deeb hits the dragon screw, and Velvet is down and rolls away from Deeb. They head out to another picture-in-picture break with Deeb in complete control of the match.

They are back from the break; Deeb appears to be trying to hit Red Velvet with a neck breaker, but Velvet knocks her off the ring and to the ground. Velvet then hits Deeb with a moonsault press. The action is back in the ring, and the match is going back and forth. Velvet hits Deeb with a side slam. Velvet then goes to the top rope and does a moonsault, but Deeb gets the knees up. Deeb hits Red Velvet with a powerbomb and pin move, but Red Velvet kicks out. Deeb now puts Red Velvet in a Serenity Lock, but Velvet gets out of it and attempts to pin Red Velvet with an inside cradle; however, Deeb kicks out. Deeb then takes Red Velvet out from the back of the leg and puts the Serenity Lock on again. Red Velvet has to tap out, and this gets Serena Deeb the victory.

Winner: Serena Deeb

- After the match, PAC says he is focused on his match on Kenny Omega and Orange Cassidy and is tired of getting screwed over, and they will see. He has a match, and nobody can do anything about it.

Austin Gunn (w/ Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson) vs. Anthony Ogogo (w/ The Factory)

The match begins with Austin Gunn going right at Anthony Ogogo with a dropkick, and he gets a lot of strikes. Ogogo grabs ahold of Gunn and hits him with a big punch to the gut. Ogogo hits him in the gut again; Ogogo was busted open. Austin is busted open, and the ref is thinking about it calling for the bell but doesn't after Gunn tells him not to. Ogogo has Gunn back up, and he throws Austin Gunn up in the air, and as Austin comes down, Ogogo gives him a right hook. The referee Bryce Remsburg calls for the bell. After the match, Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson check on Austin Gunn. Ogogo grabs the American flag and throws it; Cody catches it, but before he and Ogogo can get to each other, the refs come down and get in the middle of it.

Winner: Anthony Ogogo (w/ The Factory)

- They went to a backstage segment with Frankie Kazarian about his and Christopher Daniels's loss last week. Frankie Kazarian says he will be going after everyone in The Elite for what they did to him and Daniels.

During the picture-in-picture commercial, Sammy Guevara holds poster boards with messages to The Pinnacle and says what The Inner Circle plan on doing to The Pinnacle.

- Miro comes out to cut a promo; he praises Jesus for watching over him and giving him the strength. He says Darby Allin did not have the same luck. He is interrupted by Lance Archer and Jake Roberts. He tells Miro he "was a big deal in AEW back when Miro was still trying to have his own day". Archer says that he will make Miro his bitch; Miro tells Archer that there is not enough yoga in the world to help him when he's done with him, which actually made Jake Roberts laugh.

The Varsity Blondes (w/ Julia Hart ) vs. The Young Bucks (w/ Don Callis)

The match begins with Griff Garrison and Nick Jackson; Garrison gets the early advantage by laying out Nick Jackson with a big dropkick. Brian Pillman Jr. and Griff Garrison exchange tags, and they both double-team Nick Jackson. The Young Bucks get the momentum rather quickly now and double team Varisty Blondes now. Matt Jackson takes out Griff Garrison with a dive on the outside. Brian Pillman Jr. is the legal man, and he is getting beaten down by The Young Bucks as they go to their last picture-in-picture commercial break.

The Young Bucks continue their double-team on Brian Pillman Jr. Pillman is thrown into the corner turnbuckle hard; Nick sends Pillman to the other corner now, but Pillman hits Nick with a crossbody drop. Pillman now gets to Garrison for the hot tag; Garrison takes out The Young Bucks. Nick and Matt retreat to the outside, but that does not stop Garrison as he does a dive over the top rope and takes out The Young Bucks again. The Young Bucks soon recover and get take out Garrison outside of the ring. Pillman is the legal man; The Young Bucks begin double team, Pillman.

They continue to kick Pillman multiple times, and this gets Pillman fired up. Pillman blocks Matt Jackson's superkick and pushes the leg causing Matt to kick Nick Jackson. Pillman then superkick's Matt. The Young Bucks recover quickly and take Pillman out; Matt puts Pillman in a sharpshooter. The ref is not paying attention as he is distracted by Nick Jackson; Brand Cutler sprays something to the eyes of Pillman. Julia Hart makes the ref aware of what happened, and he sees the can. He takes that can away, and Cutler throws another one to Nick, and he sprays Julia Hart with it.

Pillman is still in the sharpshooter and taps out as he can no longer hold on. The Young Bucks celebrate their win with Brandon Cutler and Don Callis. While they are celebrating, Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley appear and attack The Young Bucks. The show goes off the air with Kingston and Moxley taking The Young Bucks out with sleeper holds.
