- Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone & Chris Jericho welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning to the opening match.

IWGP World Tag Team Championship Match.

Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis) (c) vs. Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta).

Trent & Fletcher began the match locking up before Davis tagged in, but Beretta backed up. Beretta got a headlock on Davis, but Davis broke the hold and ran over Beretta with a shoulder tackle. Beretta hit a Kick into a Tornado DDT on Davis & Fletcher before Taylor hit a Tope Con Giro on Aussie Open. Back in the ring, Davis booted Taylor in the head, but Taylor suplexed Fletcher onto Davis before Beretta laid out Fletcher for a near fall. Beretta hit a chop on Fletcher before climbing to the top rope, but Fletcher slammed Beretta into the top turnbuckle before Davis & Fletcher slammed Best friends onto the apron and ran across the ringside area onto each of Best Firneds's back. Back in the ring, Aussie Open hit a Penalty Kick into a Huge Senton on Beretta for a near fall. Davis got Beretta in the air with a Delayed Suplex before he handed off Beretta to Fletcher to finish the sequence for a near fall.

During the picture-in-picture break, Fletcher & Davis dominated proceedings, with Davis hitting two vicious knife-edge chops and a body slam on Beretta. Davis & Fletcher hit a Fireman's Carry into a roundhouse Kick on Beretta before hitting an Assisted Cutter for a near fall. Beretta slammed Fletcher on the top rope before going for a Superplex while Taylor & Davis brawled on the outside, but Taylor got back in the ring and got Trent in an Electric Chair to allow Trent to hit the Superplex on Fletcher before dropping Davis and hugging in the center of the ring. Taylor & Beretta hit a Doomsday/ Claymore Kick on Fletcher, but Fletcher kicked out at two. Fletcher tossed Beretta into the ring post before he hit a Tombstone on Taylor off Davis's enziguri kick. Fletcher hit a Thrust Kick on Trent before Davis got him and hit the "Close Eyes AND COUNT TO FUCK" Piledriver. Davis & Fletcher hit stereo lariats on Taylor before connecting the Corealis on Taylor for the pinfall win.

Winners AND STILL IWGP Tag Team Champions: Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher).

- Mark Briscoe was backstage with Jeff Jarrett, Satnam Singh, Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt, gifting Briscoe a T-Shirt.

- AEW Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Hardwood & Cash Wheeler) revealed that they had re-signed with AEW for four more years, saying that everyone is now stuck with them. Wheeler said that they would be done with Wrestling after their contracts expire in 2028, but they would fight their hardest. Dax Hardwood promised to fight their hardest for AEW.

- Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Isaiah Kassidy & FTW Champion HOOK were interviewed backstage by Lexy Nair, with Jeff saying that he was happy to be back in AEW. They revealed that they will face The Firm (Ethan Page, Big Bill, Lee Moriarty & Stokely Hathaway) in a Firm Deletion Match in the Hardy Compound.

There was a video vignette detailing the feud between Mark Briscoe & TNT Champion Powerhouse Hobbs ahead of their title match on the 4/19/2023 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Mark Briscoe, Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal & Satnam Singh (w/ Sonjay Dutt) vs. "Manscout" Jake Manning, Luther, Seprentico & Angelico.

Manning & Briscoe ran the ropes before Jarrett tripped Manning, despite Briscoe not wanting it. Thinks broke down quickly, with Jarrett hitting a Stroke on Angelico, but Serpentico caught him with a flatliner. Singh tossed Serpentico onto Luther & Angelico before hitting a Chokeslam on Manning. Briscoe told Singh to piss off before hitting the Froggy Bow on Manning for the pinfall win.

Winners: Mark Briscoe, Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal & Satnam Singh (w/ Sonjay Dutt).

- There was a video package detailing the feud between The Elite & The Blackpool Combat Club.

Taya Valkyrie vs. Emi Sakura.

The two veteran grapplers locked up before Sakura hit a vicious chop on Taya, but Valkyrie responded with two vicious overhead chops on Sakura. The two hit shoulder blocks on one another before Taya hit a shoulder tackle on Sakura, followed by a corner back elbow and the Meteora on Sakura for a near fall. Taya & Sakura exchanged waist locks before Sakura went for a Full Nelson, but Taya powered out of the hold and hit a lariat on Sakura for a near fall. Taya went for the Road to Valhalla while TBS Champion Jade Cargill & Leila Grey watch the match from the ringside. Taya got distracted by this and got hit with a Reverse Neck breaker from Sakura.

During the break, Sakura & Taya exchanged vicious strikes before Sakura hit a double under-hook backbreaker on Taya. Sakura hit another vicious chop on Taya before calling out Cargill, but Taya responded with a chop of her own. The two chopped each other again before Sakura chopped Taya into the corner and hit a running crossbody on Taya in the corner before the commercial break.

Back from the break, the two brawled on the outside before Sakura hit a vicious running splash on Taya into the stairs before getting Taya back in the ring and getting a near fall. Taya hit a knee strike and a Blue Thunder Bomb on Sakura, but Sakura kicked out at two. Sakura hit four vicious pimp slaps and a chop on Taya, but Taya responded with a Spear & the Road to Valhalla on Sakura for the pinfall win.

After the match, Valkyrie hit the Road to Valhalla on Leila Grey before Jade Cargill confronted her. Grey attacked Taya from behind to allow for Jade Cargill to hit a Pump Kick into the Jaded on Valkyrie.

Winner: Taya Valkyrie.

- Jose The Assistant revealed that LFI's Dralistico challenged Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Mega Championship, which was made official for the 4/22/2023 edition of AEW Rampage.

- JAS (Matt Menard, Angelo Parker & Jake Hager) cut some horrific bars running down on Billy Gunn & The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens). The Acclaimed & Gunn attacked JAS inside the ring before Gunn tried to scissor Menard's hard nipples, but Hager & Parker pulled Menard out of the ring. The Acclaimed & Gunn challenged JAS for the 4/19/2023 edition of AEW Dynamite.

- Shawn Spears & Jack Perry were interviewed backstage by Mark Henry. Spears said that he was no longer friends with MJF, but stated that he was aiming to get a World Title shot before Henry stated the following: "IT'S TIME FOR THE MAIN EVENT!"

Perry & Spears locked up to begin the match before Spears hit a takedown on Perry. Spears did the "10" taunt on Perry, but Perry responded with a chop and a dropkick on Spears before doing the taunt right back at Spears. The two were on the outside before Spears hit a thrust kick on Perry's shin. Perry hit a thrust kick on Spears's abdomen before tossing Spears onto the barricade while Darby Allin & Sammy Guevara watched the match backstage. Spears tossed Perry over the barricade before the final break of the night.

During the break, Perry tossed Spears over the barricade before going for a knee strike, but Spears caught him and slammed Perry into the apron. Spears hit a chop to send Perry to the outside. The two were outside again before Spears got Perry and went for a Delayed Suplex, but Perry blocked it and hit a Snap Suplex on Spears on the outside. Back in the ring, Perry climbed to the top rope, but Spears cut him off before Spears hit a Superplex on Perry for a near fall.

Back from the break, Spears went for another Superplex, but Perry dropped Spears off the top rope before hitting a Diving Cross-body on Spears, but Spears rolled over into a lateral press before catching Perry with a boot kick. Perry responded with two thrust kicks and a lariat on Spears. Spears tossed Perry with a Bandera toss, but Perry responded with an enziguri kick and went for a slingshot lariat, but Spears caught him and hit a Draping DDT on Perry off the top rope for a near fall. Spears went for the C4, but Perry reversed it with a Victory Roll into a Flatliner on Spears for a near fall. Perry got La Casita on Spears, but Spears rolled over and hit a Tilt-to-Whirl Back Breaker on Perry. Spears went for La Magistral on Perry, but Perry reversed it with a Small Package for the pinfall win.

Shawn Spears & Jack Perry shook hands after the match to end the broadcast.

Winner: "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry.
