WWE Raw Results For 7/30: Brock Lesnar Appears, Ronda Rousey Returns, Plus The Boss & Hug Connection Is Formed

Mone Confronts Nightingale, Strickland Beats Fletcher, Moxley Retains | AEW Fight Size


- The show starts with “In Memory” graphics for the late Nikolai Volkoff and Brian Christopher.

- Highlights are from last weeks Raw, showing how Roman Reigns became #1 contender to the WWE Universal Title.

- WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman are shown backstage.

- Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring and he has a microphone in hand, Reigns talks about the energy in the crowd tonight. Reigns talks about going to war with Bobby Lashley and he respects him, Reigns says he has no respect for WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman interrupts and he does his usual introduction, Heyman talks about how insane Reigns is for fighting Lesnar again. Reigns tells Heyman to shut up and he wants Lesnar to come out, Heyman says Lesnar will come out to the ring whenever he wants. Reigns promises to send Lesnar back to the UFC as his bitch.

- Seth Rollins is shown in the locker room. 

- Ronda Rousey is shown talking to Natalya backstage. 

- WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is shown in his locker room when Paul Heyman arrives to explain what Roman Reigns said about him, Heyman tries giving Lesnar his phone and Lesnar throws it against the wall.

Finn Balor vs. Constable Corbin

The match begins with Corbin powering Balor into the corner before letting him go free, Balor nails Corbin with a few strikes and Corbin throws him out of the ring. Balor gets back in the ring and Corbin throws him right back out, Balor gets back in and he holds Corbin in a headlock. Corbin gets free and he drops Balor with a back elbow strike, Corbin puts Balor on the top rope and Balor fights back. Balor knocks Corbin out of the ring with a missile drop kick, Balor follows Corbin out of the ring to drop him with a flying forearm strike. Balor gets back in the ring and he stomps away on Corbin as he gets back in the ring, Corbin recovers and misses a charge to the corner.

Balor goes to the ring apron and Corbin nails him with a clothesline as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Corbin drop Balor with a hard Irish whip. Corbin slows things down further with a modified chin lock on Balor, Balor gets free and Corbin traps him in the corner. Corbin then crushes Balor with a clothesline for a near fall, Corbin traps Balor in the corner again while landing a few strikes. Corbin reapplies the modified chin lock to Balor, Balor gets free and he knocks Corbin out of the ring with a drop kick. Balor tries getting Corbin in the ring and Corbin nails him with a right, Corbin goes for a power bomb and Balor trips him up before landing a double stomp. Balor corners Corbin before landing a series of chops, Corbin goes to the top rope and Balor knocks him to the arena floor with an enzaguri.

Balor quickly nails a dazed Corbin with a suicide dive as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Corbin again holding Balor in the modified chin lock. Balor gets free and he surprises Corbin with a roll up for a near fall, Balor then hits Corbin with a sling blade. Corbin catches a charging Balor to land a choke breaker for a near fall, Corbin mounts Balor and assaults him with strikes. Balor recovers and he drops Corbin with a DDT, Balor then drops Corbin again with a rope assisted enzaguri. Balor goes to the top rope and quickly leaps off before eating a Deep Six for a near fall, Corbin then hits a cornered Balor with multiple avalanches. Corbin is sent out of the ring and Balor nails him with a baseball slide drop kick, Balor uses a shotgun drop kick to knock Corbin into the barricade.

Balor gets Corbin in the ring before landing a shotgun drop kick, Balor goes to the top rope and leaps off as Corbin moves out of the way. Corbin then hits Balor with the End Of Days for the three count.

Winner: Constable Corbin

After the match, Constable Corbin returns to the ring and he attacks Finn Balor, Corbin throws Balor out of the ring and he attacks him further.

- Raw GM Kurt Angle confronts Paul Heyman tonight about Brock Lesnar not appearing live in front of the audience tonight, Heyman tells Angle to talk to Lesnar himself. Angle says Heyman is going to be fired tonight if Lesnar doesn’t go to the ring tonight.

- Highlights are shown from the announcement of the all women’s “Evolution” pay-per-view event.

- Alicia Fox is shown warming up backstage when Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss arrives, Bliss says Mickie James is injured and Fox was picked to replace her. Bliss says she will take care of Ronda Rousey tonight and that Fox will take care of Natalya, Fox promises to hurt Natalya tonight.

Natalya w/Ronda Rousey vs. Alicia Fox w/Alexa Bliss

The match begins with Fox taking Natalya down before applying a head scissors, Natalya escapes and she drops Fox with a shoulder tackle. Natalya catches Fox with a roll up for a near fall, Fox sends Natalya into the corner before rolling her up for a near fall. Natalya looks for the sharp shooter and Fox gets to the ropes, Natalya tries bringing Fox into the ring and Fox traps her in the ring skirt. Fox gets Natalya in the ring for a near fall on a pin attempt, Fox starts working over the injured leg of Natalya. Fox holds Natalya down while applying a chin lock, Fox releases the hold and stomps away on a downed Natalya. Fox then applies the modified abdominal stretch to Natalya, Natalya gets free and Fox drops her with a clothesline.

Natalya trips up a swinging Fox before landing a basement drop kick, Natalya then nails Fox with a spinning clothesline for a near fall. Fox surprises Natalya with a clothesline for a near fall, Fox then hits Natalya with a northern lights suplex for a near fall. Fox taunts Rousey so Bliss can attack Natalya behind the ref’s back, Fox nails Natalya with a boot to the head for a three count.

Winner: Alicia Fox w/Alexa Bliss

After the match, Ronda Rousey goes after Alexa Bliss and she takes out Alicia Fox first, Rousey goes after Bliss until Fox attacks her from behind. Fox repeatedly throws Rousey into the barricade before exiting the area with Bliss.

- Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman are shown in their locker room, Heyman tries convincing Lesnar to appear in the ring tonight. Lesnar says he doesn’t care about the WWE Universe and he would rather be home tonight, Lesnar then sends Heyman out of the locker room to get him some food.

- Ronda Rousey & Natalya are complaining to Raw GM Kurt Angle backstage, Angle says Rousey will face Alicia Fox next week on WWE Raw.

- Elias is in the ring and he wants to know “who wants to walk with Elias?” Elias talks about the album he recently released and its success, Elias talks about how Bobby Lashley interrupted him last week on WWE Raw. Elias brings up The Rock and then says he wrote a song about him, Elias gets ready to perform when Lashley interrupts. Lashley says he wanted to have a front row seat to hear what Elias will have to say, Elias wants Lashley to sing with him. Elias starts the song and Lashley eventually joins in, Elias eventually jumps Lashley from behind and Lashley fights back before hitting Elias with an overhead release suplex.

- Constable Corbin is walking backstage when he bumps into Kevin Owens, Owens congratulates Corbin on his win over Finn Balor. Owens says that Corbin is his son’s favorite wrestler, Owens complains about what Raw GM Kurt Angle is doing to WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar tonight.

- Highlights are then shown from when Braun Strowman attacked Jinder Mahal and Sunil Singh last week.

Braun Strowman vs. Jinder Mahal w/Sunil Singh

The match begins with Strowman shoving Mahal across the ring, Kevin Owens appears and he tries stealing the Money In The Bank briefcase. Strowman chases Owens around the ring before getting his briefcase back, Strowman chases Owens backstage as the referee makes the ten count.

Winner: Jinder Mahal w/Sunil Singh, by count out

- Raw GM Kurt Angle is approached in his office by Constable Corbin, who hands Angle a phone that has Stephanie McMahon on the other end. McMahon apparently tells Angle something he didn’t want to hear.

Apollo Crews w/Titus O’Neil & Dana Brooke def. Akam w/Rezar

(Note: My Computer went down during this match and I was unable to do a full recap, I apologize for the inconvenience.)

Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre w/Dolph Ziggler

The match begins with McIntyre backing Rollins into the corner while landing a ton of strikes, Rollins fights back and McIntyre nails him with a suplex. McIntyre tries dragging Rollins out of the ring and Rollins shoves him into the barricade, Rollins goes for a suicide dive and McIntyre sends him into the barricade instead. McIntyre then slingshots Rollins into the exposed steel under the ring as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Rollins drop kicking McIntyre from the ring apron to the arena floor. Rollins then hits McIntyre with a series of suicide dives, Rollins then throws McIntyre into the exposed steel part of the ring. Rollins gets McIntyre in the ring before nailing him with a falcon arrow for a near fall, Rollins then hits McIntyre with a side kick to the midsection.

McIntyre recovers and he nails a charging Rollins with a spine buster for a near fall, Rollins recovers and he nails McIntyre with a hurricarana followed by a super kick. Rollins goes to the top rope and McIntyre crotches him, McIntyre then hits Rollins with a few strikes before going up there himself. McIntyre then hits Rollins with a super Kryptonite Krunch for a near fall, McIntyre then hits Rollins with a running back elbow strike. McIntyre goes for a reverse Alabama Slam and Rollins rolls him up for a near fall, Rollins catches McIntyre with a curb stomp and Ziggler attacks him to cause a DQ.

Winner: Seth Rollins, by DQ

After the match, Seth Rollins fights back against Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre.

- Roman Reigns is approached by Raw GM Kurt Angle & Constable Corbin backstage, Angle says the Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon is having Reigns removed from the building. Corbin then has the police remove Reigns from the building, Reigns punches Corbin before leaving.

- Charly Caruso interviews The B-Team in the ring, Bo Dallas says the secret to their success is due to their dreams. Curtis Axel says they are dreaming to live and they never want to wake up, Dallas thanks the WWE Universe for supporting them. Axel talks about how the Deleters Of Worlds are sore losers after attacking them last week, which brings out the Deleters Of Worlds. Matt Hardy says the B-Teams success is a cosmic anomaly, Hardy says they must amend everything that The B-Team has done. Bray Wyatt says their dreams are fleeting, but the nightmares are real and the Deleters Of Worlds are their nightmares. The Revival interrupt and Scott Dawson says they do not understand the Deleters Of Worlds, Dash Wilder says that the Deleters should step aside so they can challenge for the gold. A brawl breaks out between the Deleters Of Worlds and The Revival.

Deleters Of Worlds (Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt) vs. The Revival (Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder)

The match is joined in progress and we see Hardy working over Wilder in the corner, Wyatt tags in and he works with Hardy to hit Wilder with a double back body drop. Wyatt then hits a charging Wilder with a headbutt, Hardy tags in and he drops a charging Wilder for a near fall. Wilder trips up Hardy and Dawson tags in before landing a leg drop, Dawson slows things down by holding Hardy in a chin lock. Wilder tags in and he applies a chin lock of his own on Hardy, Wilder drops Hardy before getting a near fall on a pin attempt. Wilder reapplies a chin lock to a downed Hardy, Hardy gets free and he nails Wilder with a jaw breaker.

Dawson tags in and Hardy quickly nails him with a side effect, Wilder and Wyatt get tagged in by their respective partners. Wyatt quickly cleans house against the opposing team, Wyatt then nails Wilder with a running cross body block. Wyatt fights off both of The Revival before eating an enzaguri, Hardy and Dawson take their brawl to the arena floor. Dawson then shoves Hardy into the barricade, Wyatt goes for Sister Abigail and Wilder gets free by pulling his hair. Dawson tags in and The Revival hit Wyatt with a Shatter Machine for the three count.

Winners: The Revival (Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder)

- Renee Young interviews Seth Rollins, who is frustrated by what Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre are doing, Ziggler and McIntyre attack Rollins from behind.

Riott Squad (Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan) vs. The Boss & Hug Connection (Sasha Banks & Bayley)

The match begins with Logan scoring a takedown on Bayley, Logan holds Bayley down while wrenching away on her arm. Bayley trips up Logan before tagging Banks in, Bayley and Banks would then double team a cornered Logan. Banks nails Logan with a double knee strike for a near fall, Banks holds Logan down while wrenching away on her arm. Banks then hits Logan with a rope assisted arm drag followed by a drop kick, Bayley tags in and she rolls up Logan for a near fall. Bayley then drops a charging Logan face first on the top turnbuckle, Banks then hits a cornered Logan with a double knee strike as we go to a commercial break.

We return from the break to see Logan wrenching away on the arm of Banks, Banks gets free and Logan corners her before tagging Morgan in. Morgan nails Logan with a top rope face buster for a near fall, Morgan slows things down further by holding Banks in a chin lock. Banks gets free and rolls up Morgan for a near fall, Banks sends Morgan into the ropes before tagging Bayley in. Bayley quickly cleans house against the opposing team, Bayley nails a cornered Morgan with a shoulder ram and flying back elbow strike. Morgan slows Bayley down and goes to the top rope, Bayley follows her up there and lands a hurricarana. Banks tags in and hits Morgan with a top rope double knee strike for a near fall, Bayley tags in and lands a Bayley To Belly for a three count.

Winners: The Boss & Hug Connection (Sasha Banks & Bayley)

- WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is approached again by Paul Heyman in his locker room, Heyman is still trying to convince Lesnar to go to the ring. Lesnar wants to know if Heyman got their paychecks yet, Heyman finally reveals to Lesnar that he could be fired if Lesnar doesn’t appear tonight. Lesnar grabs Heyman and he tells him that they are not friends, Lesnar reminds Heyman that he works for Lesnar and is a leech.

- Raw GM Kurt Angle and Constable Corbin make their way to the ring, Angle reminds Paul Heyman of his mandate from earlier in the show. Heyman comes out and he does his usual intro in a more somber tone, Heyman announces that Brock Lesnar isn’t coming out. Angle snaps at Heyman and he explains what a real champion is, Angle calls Lesnar the worst WWE Universal Champion of all time. Heyman says that he tried to turn Lesnar in another version of Angle, Heyman says that Lesnar doesn’t respect anybody. Angle terminates the contract of Heyman and then Lesnar makes his way to the ring, Lesnar grabs the microphone and he wants to know if Angle and Corbin have issues with him. Lesnar then hits Angle with an F-5 as Corbin gets out of the ring, Lesnar also attacks Heyman and takes him down before leaving the ring.
