MLW Fusion Results for 12/2/20 Davey Boy Smith Jr. vs Low-Ki, ACH vs Laredo Kid

Hey Fight Fans, it's time for tonight's edition of MLW Fusion!

- We open tonight's show with promos by Low-Ki and DBSJ before we get a promo by Josef Samael of Contra Unit.

2020 Opera Cup Tournament First Round Match

Laredo Kid vs ACH

The two exchange wrist locks and early pin attempts before they have a stare down and ACH shoves Kid. Kid hits an enzuigiri into a missile dropkick before ACH rolls out of the ring and Kid hits a diving cross body onto the floor. Kid tosses ACH back into the ring for one before chopping him in the corner and ACH sends Kid out of the ring before hitting a PK from the apron. ACH suplexes Kid onto the floor before rolling him back inside and hitting a sweep into a jumping stomp for two. ACH hits a backbreaker for two before hitting a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for another two count.

ACH showboats between striking Kid before dropkicking him off of the apron before hitting a clothesline once ACH is back in the ring into a series of suplexes for two. ACH hits a swinging backbreaker into a Saito suplex before Kid hits a Driver into a pair of moonsaults for a near fall. ACH hits a powerbomb off of the second rope for a near fall before they exchange strikes until Kid crotches ACH on the top rope and hits a diving cutter for a near fall of his own. ACH then knocks Kid off of the top rope with a kick and follows up with a brain buster for the pin and the win.

Winner: ACH defeats Laredo Kid via pinfall to advance to the next round of the tournament.

- We get a backstage promo by Tom Lawlor ahead of the tag team division debut of Dominick Garrini and Kevin Koo as Violence is Forever before we get a taped promo by the Von Erichs as we go to commercial.

- We get a promo by Salina de La Renta where she plays with a knife and makes veiled threats.

Mads Krugger vs Ariel Dominguez

Mads throws Ariel across the ring before catching Ariel coming off the top with one hand by the throat before hitting a choke breaker into a face buster for the pin and the win.

Winner: Mads Krugger defeats Ariel Dominguez via pinfall.

- After the match Contra's death squad put Ariel in a body bag before carrying him to the back as we go to commercial.

- We get a taped promo by Richard Holliday who dedicates his win in the opening round of the Opera Cup to Alexander Hammerstone.

- We get a graphic for the announcement for the Von Erichs defending their MLW World Tag Team titles against MLW World champion Jacob Fatu and Simon Gotch on next week's show.

2020 Opera Cup Tournament First Round Match

Low-Ki vs Davey Boy Smith Jr.

They shake hands before the match before Low-Ki backs DBSJ into the ropes for a clean break and Davey lifts Low-Ki up and places him on the apron. Low-Ki takes his time getting back into the ring and the two grapple on the mat before Davey locks in a knee bar. Low-Ki counters and gets mount for one before they get back to their feet and Davey goes back to the knee bar, but Low-Ki quickly rolls to the ropes for the break. Davey locks in a side headlock on the mat before he gets to his feet and Davey takes him right back down before Low-Ki gets two off of a crucifix. Low-Ki gets to his feet before hitting a dragon screw and focusing on the left knee of DBSJ until Davey comes back with a float over suplex for two.

Low-Ki whips Davey into the corner and hits a running clothesline before Davey dumps him over the top rope and down onto the floor. Davey drives Low-Ki into the apron before suplexing him from the apron into the ring for two before focusing on the arm and shoulder of Low-Ki. Low-Ki comes back with a crucifix for two before Davey locks in a shoulder lock and focuses on joint manipulation. Low-Ki counters a German into a jumping stomp before hitting a springboard roundhouse kick and locks in a submission. Davey gets to the ropes for the break before Low-Ki kicks him in the head and hits a shotgun dropkick for a near fall.

Low-Ki goes up top and Davey meets him before dodging a diving stomp and hitting a powerslam for a near fall. Low-Ki locks in a dragon sleeper on the top rope before Davey counters and Low-Ki rolls through for the pin and the win

Winner: Low-Ki defeats Davey Boy Smith Jr via pinfall to advance to the next round of the tournament.
