New Japan Pro Wrestling On AXS TV 10/7 IWGP Tag Team Championship Match, Tetsuya Naito vs Hirooki Goto & More!

Welcome to the Fightful.com recap for this week's episode of New Japan Pro Wrestling on AXS TV! We continue with Wrestle Kingdom 10 with the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team titles on the line as Bullet Club's Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows defend against Togi Makabe and Tomoaki Honma! We also have a six-man tag match between Toru Yano, Mark Briscoe and Jay Briscoe versus Tama Tonga, Yujiro Takahashi and Bad Luck Fale for the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championship as well as Tetsuya Naito versus Hiooki Goto! Three matches on one episode from the biggest event of the NJPW year!

Toru Yano & The Briscoes vs Bad Luck Fale, Yujiro Takahashi & Tama Tonga NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championship Match

They go right after each other to start the match with Mark and Jay doing some double team moves on Tama then to Yujiro, sending them both outside. Mark hits an elbow drop off the apron onto Yujiro on the outside then Fale and Tama dougle team Mark, backing him into their corner then Tama tags in Fale. Mark tags in Yano who hits Fale on the back of the head then makes the referee break it, Tama tapping him on the shoulder and making him yell then turns around and Fale drops him with a right hand. Fale stands on Yano in the corner then tags Yujiro in who chokes Yano with his foot then hits a snapmare into a dropkick for a quick 2 count. Yujiro tags in Tama who slides around the ring like Randy Orton then hits a dropkick that takes out both Briscoes on the apron before dragging Yano over and tagging Fale back in. Fale sits on Yano for a close 2 count then has Yujiro and Tama come in. Yano gets the turnbuckle cover off then sends Yujiro into Tama. Yano plays to the crowd then gets dropped by Fale then splashed in the corner. Yano avoids a splash on the mat then tags in Mark Briscoe who takes Tama off of the apron then chops Yujiro in the corner then hits an exploding t-bone suplex for a quick 2 count. Yujiro hits a fisherman's buster out of no where then tags in Tama as Mark goes to tag in Jay, knocking him off the apron. Mark hits a blockbuster onto Yujiro on the outside as Jay hits a death valley driver on Tama for a close 2 count. 

Jay goes for the Jay Driller, but Tama turns it into the Tonga Twist then a leg lariat for a quick 2 count. Tama hits an Alabama Slam for a close 2 count, but Yano breaks up the pin as Fale goes out after him. The Briscoes hit the Doomsday Device on Tama for the pin and the win after Yano hits him with a chair.

Winner: Toru Yano, Mark & Jay Briscoe

Tetsuya Naito vs Hirooki Goto

Goto goes right after Naito who goes outside then BUSHI and EVIL attack him from behind all before the match starts. As the match starts Goto drops Naito then hits him with a kick to the chest that sends him outside, but Goto puts him right back in. Naito leaves the ring again and Goto chases him, EVIL whipping him into the railing as BUSHI takes out Captain New Japan at ringside. EVIL puts a chair around Goto's neck and hits him with another as Naito brings out a table. Naito hits a neckbreaker off the apron and sends Goto through the table before going in the ring and doing his pose. BUSHI tosses Goto back into the ring and Naito puts on a headscissor submission, but Goto gets to the ropes. Naito tries to attack the cameraman then drops Goto, following up with a dropkick for a quick 2 count, going after the referee next. Naito puts a reverse chin lock on Goto, but Goto powers out of it. Naito spits on Goto who turns him inside out with a clothesline. Goto hits a series of kicks  then whips Naito into the corner and hits a spinning leg kick, following up with a bulldog then a back drop for a quick 2 count. Naito hits his leg sweep dropkick. Goto hits a sunset powerbomb off the top rope and for two very close 2 counts. Goto teases the Ushigaroshi, but Naito counters with a step up enzugiri and a forearm that drops Goto. Naito sets Goto up on the top rope and hits a frankensteiner for a close 2 count of his own. They exchange forearms in the center of the ring then Goto hits the Ushigaroshi, but Goto is too tired to go for the pin. Naito catches a kick and swings his leg into the referee. Goto turns Naito inside out with a lariat then goes for another move but EVIL grabs Goto. BUSHI goes to mist Goto, but hits EVIL then Naito hits a low blow and rolls Goto up for a very close 2 count. Naito goes for Destino, but it's countered into the Shouten Kai for the pin and the win. Great match by these two.

Winner: Hirooki Goto via pinfall with the Shouten Kai

Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows vs Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma IGWP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship Match

Karl starts off with Honma, Honma trying to for a headbutt early, but Karl gets out of the way and tags in Gallows who pounds Honma in their corner then tags Karl back in. Karl stomps on Honma then teases a headbutt, going for a senton, but missing as Honma tags in Makabe. Makabe clotheslines Karl in the corner then hits him repeatedly in the corner as the crowd counts the punches. Makabe drops Karl with a shoulder block, sending him to the outside then both members of GBH. They get back into the ring and Karl is in control after hitting Makabe with his own chain. Doc gets tagged in and takes out Honma on the apron then tags Karl back in, the two doing something double teaming as we see Honma's head has been busted open in the back. Karl gets 3 quick 2 counts, Makabe holding his mouth as Karl tries to lift him, but the referee makes him get away, Karl kicking him and picking Makabe up anyway. Makabe drops Karl with a clothesline then tags in Honma who takes out both members of Guns & Gallows, hitting a headbutt on Karl then chopping him in the corner. Karl counters then Doc grabs his ankle when he runs the ropes. Doc and Karl double team Honma for a close 2 count that Makabe breaks up.

Karl hits a running Gun Stun, but can't get the 3 count. They tease the Magic Killer, but Makabe interrupts and takes Doc over the top rope, leaving Karl and Honma in the ring. Honma goes up top, but Doc meets him, Karl on the second rope and goes for a Super Gun Stun, but Honma gets off. Karl hits a running powerbomb for a very close 2 count then acts like Orton, begging Honma to get up so he can hit the Gun Stun, missing it twice and getting a jumping headbutt for his troubles; that's what you get for gimmick infringement Karl! Honma tags in Makabe who after four clotheslines cannot take Doc down. Doc hits a superkick then a sitout powerbomb for a close 2 count. Makabe drops Karl and sends Doc to a knee with a double clothesline. Makabe and Doc exchange lariats until Makabe drops Doc then whips Honma into Karl, hitting the headbutt. GBH hit the doomsday device headbutt off the top rope then hits a King Kong Knee Drop off the top rope for the pin and the win! After losing so much and winning the Tag League tournament, GBH have overcome the odds and won the IWGP Heavtweight Tag Team titles!

Winner: Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma via pinfall
