The eighth day of the NJPW G1 Climax 28 is in the books and five B Block matches took plus, but it was Zack Sabre Jr who made the biggest mark. Sabre Jr fought Tomohiro Ishii is Block B action and became the first wrestler to force a tap out from the Chaos member. Other wrestlers picking up wins in the B Block included IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega, Sanada, NEVER Openweight Champion Hirooki Goto and Tetsuya Naito.
In non-tournament action, it was a Chaos versus Chaos battle as Yoshi-Hashi & Sho defeated Kazuchika Okada & Gedo.
