Match By Match Recap

Juice Robinson & David Finlay vs. Bullet Club (Leo Tonga & Yujiro Takahashi)

The match begins with Finlay nailing Takahashi with a series of forearm strikes before applying a headlock, Takahashi breaks free and he drops Finlay with a shoulder tackle. Finlay builds up speed before catching Takahashi with a leaping European uppercut, Tonga hits the ring and he nails both opponents with a double clothesline. All four competitors eventually take the brawl to the arena floor, Takahashi gets Finlay in the ring to get a near fall before landing more punches. Tonga tags in and he clobbers Finlay with a few more strikes, Tonga then hits Finlay with a back suplex for a near fall.

Takahashi hits the ring to stomp on Finlay while the referee was distracted, Tonga chokes Finlay in the corner before tagging Takahashi in. Takahashi nails Finlay with a running drop kick for a near fall, Finlay recovers and he nails Takahashi with a drop kick. Robinson tags in and he immediately nails Takahashi with running clotheslines, Tonga catches Robinson with a knee to the back and then Robinson sends Takahashi into Tonga. Takahashi trips up Robinson before nailing him with a one footed drop kick, Bullet Club would then double team Robinson for a near fall. Takahashi and Finlay take their fight to the arena floor, Tonga hits Robinson with a running power slam for a near fall.

Finlay returns to the ring to team with Robinson and they hit Tonga with a double flapjack, Robinson then hits Tonga with Pulp Friction for the three count.

Winners: Juice Robinson & David Finlay

Chaos (Hirooki Goto & Toru Yano) vs. Suzuki-Gun (Minoru Suzuki & Takashi Iizuka)

The match begins with an all out brawl breaking out between the competitors in the bout, the action spills to the arena floor as Iizuka throws Goto into the ring announcer table. Suzuki gets Yano back in the ring before stomping away on him, Yano removes the turnbuckle post while Suzuki still attacks him. Suzuki catches Yano with an arm bar while in the ropes, Suzuki gets Yano back out of the ring and he attacks him with a chair. Suzuki finds a water bottle and he smashes it on the face of Yano, Suzuki waits for Yano to get back into the ring before applying a kimura to him.

Iizuka illegally enters the ring and he bites the arm of Yano, Iizuka tags in and he stomps away on a downed Yano. Iizuka grabs a chain and he chokes Yano with it while the referee was distracted, Yano fights back by catching a charging Yano with an inverted atomic drop. Goto tags in and he quickly cleans house on the opposing team, Goto catches Iizuka with an exploder suplex for a near fall. Iizuka tries attacking Yano and Goto attacks him with strikes from behind, Yano fights with Suzuki on the arena floor while hitting him with a steel chair. Goto nails Iizuka with a back suplex before tagging Yano back in, Iizuka quickly hits Yano with an inverted atomic drop.

Yano nails Iizuka with a low blow followed by a roll up for a near fall, Suzuki attacks Yano and he chokes him with a bull rope to cause a DQ.

Winners: Chaos (Hirooki Goto & Toru Yano), by DQ

Chaos (Yoshi-Hashi, Berretta & Will Ospreay) vs. Bullet Club (Kenny Omega, Chase Owens & Marty Scurll)

The match begins with Scurll taking Ospreay down and working over his arm, Scurll and Ospreay go through a series of reversals that gets nobody a clear advantage. Ospreay eventually knocks Scurll out of the ring with a drop kick, Omega and Owens interfere before Ospreay takes them both out. Owens tags in and Yoshi-Hashi gets the tag as well, Owens immediately attacks Yoshi-Hashi with a series of strikes. Owens then drops Yoshi-Hashi with a shoulder tackle, Yoshi-Hashi recovers to hit Owens with a shoulder tackle of his own followed by a slam. Owens drops Yoshi-Hashi neck first along the top rope as a brawl breaks out on the arena floor between members of both teams, Omega tags in and he nails Yoshi-Hashi with a top rope axe handle smash.

Omega stomps away on Yoshi-Hashi before attacking him with chops, Scurll tags in and Yoshi-Hashi quickly drop him with a neck breaker. Bullet Club hit the ring and they stop Yoshi-Hashi from getting a tag, Scurll goes for his umbrella and Yoshi-Hashi nails him with a mule kick. Ospreay tags in and he quickly cleans house on the opposing team, Ospreay nails Scurll and Owens with a running drop kick in the corner. Ospreay goes for a dive and Scurll nails him with a side kick to the knee, Ospreay recovers to take both Scurll and Owens out. Berretta tags in and he attacks Owens with a bunch of chops, Omega hits the ring to work with Owens as they attack Berretta with double team moves.

Yoshi-Hashi hits the ring and he crushes Owens with a Western Lariat, Scurll goes after Yoshi-Hashi and he gets nailed by a lung blower. Ospreay then takes out Bullet Club members with a suicide dive, Owens gets in the ring and he nails Berretta with a gut buster. Omega and Owens work over Berretta with double team moves in the ring, Berretta recovers to take out Omega with a tornado DDT. Berretta hits Owens with a Dude Buster for the three count.

Winners: Chaos (Yoshi-Hashi, Berretta & Will Ospreay)

After the match, Berretta challenges Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Title at NJPW Power Struggle, Omega tries getting in the ring and Berretta kicks the middle rope into his balls. 

Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kushida & Hirai Kawato vs. Kota Ibushi, Dragon Lee & Titan

The match begins with Kushida taking Titan down as they do some chain wrestling, Titan uses a little trickery to take Kushida down with a head scissors. Kushida recovers to take Titan down with an arm drag followed by a drop kick, Kawato and Lee get the tags from their respective partners. Kawato and Lee immediately have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Lee quickly takes Kawato down with a release German suplex for a near fall. Lee slows things down by holding Kawato in the abdominal stretch, Titan tags in and he nails Kawato with a split legged moonsault.

Ibushi tags in and he locks Kawato in a single leg crab, Ibushi releases the hold to attack Kawato with a series of strikes. Kawato recovers and he drops a charging Ibushi with a drop kick, Tanahashi tags in and he nails Ibushi with flying forearm strikes. Tanahashi then hits Ibushi with a springboard cross body followed by a swanton bomb for a near fall, Lee hits the ring and he gets nailed by a triple drop kick from the opposing team. Ibushi recovers and he drops Tanahashi with a striking combination, Tanahashi blocks a atnding moonsault from Ibushi by getting his knees up. Ibushi and Tanahashi go through a series of reversals until Ibushi drops him with a head kick, Kawato and Titan get the tags from their respective partners.

Titan quickly catches Kawato with a series of kicks to the head followed by a springboard cross body, Titan nails Kawato with a dragon screw leg whip before locking him in a figure four. Lee comes in the ring before taking Kushida out with a suicide dive, Kawato catches Titan with a roll up before leveling him with a kick. Titan catches Kawato in a pinning combination from out of nowhere for the three count.

Winners: Kota Ibushi, Dragon Lee & Titan

Chaos (Kazuchika Okada, Rocky Romero, Tomohiro Ishii, Yoh & Sho) vs. Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito, Hiromu Takahashi, Evil, Sanada & Bushi)

The match begins with Takahashi dropping Romero with a shoulder block, Sho hits the ring and he gets into a striking exchange with Takahashi. Sho eventually drops Takahashi with a shoulder tackle after a few reversals, Bushi and Yoh get the tags from their respective partners. Yoh and Bushi get into a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Yoh drops Bushi with a shoulder tackle before tagging Sho in. Sho and Yoh work together to attack Bushi with some double team moves, Bushi eventually drops Sho with a DDT from out of nowhere. A brawl then breaks out all over the place between the majority of the wrestlers in the match, Bushi chokes Sho with his shirt inside of the ring.

Sanada tags in and he focuses his attack on the back of Sho, Sanada slams Sho before tagging Evil into the match. Evil would then hit Sho with a side slam for a near fall, a second brawl breaks out everywhere while Naito and Evil work over Sho inside of the ring. Naito stays in the ring and he stomps away on a downed Sho, Ishii interferes and he attacks Naito before knocking Evil out of the ring. Sho appears from out of nowhere and he crushes Naito with a lariat, Okada tags in and he quickly drops Naito with a back elbow strike. Okada then crushes Naito with a DDT before landing more back elbow strikes for a near fall.

Naito eventually traps Okada in the ropes before nailing him with a modified back breaker, Sanada tags in and Okada would eventually drop him with a flapjack. Romero tags in and he catches Sanada with a hurricarana, Romero then hits Sanada with Forever Clotheslines in the corner. Roppongi 3K hit the ring to triple team Sanada with Romero, Takahashi and Bushi hit the ring and they take out Roppongi 3K. Takahashi and Bushi then hit Romero with a double super kick, Evil hits the ring and he lays out Ishii with a lariat. Okada comes in the ring and he is quickly taken out by a double drop kick, Romero catches Sanada with a roll up for a near fall. Romero goes for Sliced Bread and Sanada counters with a TKO for a near fall, Sanada locks Romero in the Cold Skull and a tap out follows.

Winners: Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito, Hiromu Takahashi, Evil, Sanada & Bushi)

NJPW 2017 Super Junior Tag Team Tournament Opening Round: Jushin ?Thunder? Liger & Tiger Mask IV vs. Suzuki-Gun (El Desparado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)

The match begins with a brawl breaking out on the arena floor between all the competitors, Liger grabs Desparado and he throws him into some chairs at ringside. Mask IV battles Kanemaru in the crowd as well, Liger sets up a table near the ring and he throws Desparado at it. Mask IV gets Kanemaru in the ring before assaulting him with strikes, Desparado tags inand Mask IV attacks him with a variety of kicks. Liger tags in and he throws Desparado right into the exposed corner a few times, Kanemaru hits the ring and Liger attacks him as well.

Mask IV tags back in and he levels Desparado with a few punches followed by kicks, Kanemaru attacks Mask IV from behind and Desparado nails him with a drop kick. Desparado brawls with Liger on the arena floor while Kanemaru tries removing the mask of Mask IV. Kanemaru gets Mask IV out of the ring before throwing him into chairs, Kanemaru gets Mask IV back into the ring. Kanemaru distracts the ref so Desparado can attack the knee of Mask IV with a chair, Desparado tries ripping the mask off of the face of Mask IV. Kanemaru tags in and Mask IV nails him with a spin kick before tagging Liger in.

Liger hits the ring and he lays out both opponents with palm strikes, Desparado attacks Liger and he tries ripping his mask off. Desparado gets Liger to the top rope and he goes after the mask once again, Desparado gets Liger off the ropes before just stomping away on him. Liger fights back and he tries ripping the mask of off the face of Desparado, Kanemaru interferes and he nails Liger with a drop kick on the ring apron. Kanemaru tags in and he stomps away on a downed Liger, Kamemaru then locks Liger in a camel clutch.

Liger then knocks Kanemaru into Desparado before taking both out with a double DDT, Mask IV tags in and he catches Kanemaru with atop rope high cross body. Mask IV places Kanemaru on the top rope and he lands a super butterfly suplex, Mask IV hits Kanemaru with a tiger driver for a near fall. Desparado distracts the referee so Kanemaru can nail Mask IV with a low blow, Mask IV recovers and he locks Kanemaru in a modified Rings Of Saturn for a near submission. Desparado interferes and Mask IV quickly takes him out, Kanemaru distracts Mask Iv by throwing the referee at him so he can land a clothesline.

Liger and Desparado get the tags from their respective partners, Liger quickly nails Desparado with a tlilt-a-whirl back breaker followed by a palm strike. Liger then hits Desparado with a top rope hurricarana for a near fall, Liger then hits Desparado with a Liger Bomb for another near fall. Kanemaru hits the ring and Liger lays him out with a palm strike, Liger hits Desparado with a brain buster for a near fall. Liger gets angry and he nails Desparado with another palm strike before getting him to the top rope, the referee goes down and that allows Desparado to nail Liger with a whiskey bottle for a near fall. Desparado hits Liger with the Angel?s Wings for the three count.

Winners: Suzuki-Gun (El Desparado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)

NJPW 2017 Super Junior Tag Team Tournament Opening Round: Ryusuke Tagauchi & ACH vs. Suzuki-Gun (Taichi & Taka Michinoku)

The match begins with Suzuki-Gun jumping Taguchi and ACH as the match began, ACH is knocked out of the ring as Suzuki-Gun double teams Taguchi inside of it. Taguchi attacks both of his opponents with some hip attacks, ACH hits the ring and he levels Taichi with running clotheslines in the corner. ACH would then throw Taichi into the behind of Taguchi, Taichi grabs the ring bell and he attacks both opponents with it. Taich I gets angry and he rips the pants that Taguchi wore to the match, Taguchi goes outside the ring and Michinoku tries crushing his balls.

Taguchi is thrown back into the ring and Michinoku tags in to work him over in the corner, Michinoku again attempts to crush the balls of Taguchi. Taguchi fights back and he drops Michinoku with a suplex, Taichi fights ACH on the arena floor and he throws him into the ring post. Michinoku traps Taguchi in the corner and he chokes him with his foot, Taichi tags in and he attacks Taguchi with some more kicks. Michinoku hits the ring and he double teams Taguchi alongside Taichi, Taguchi recovers and he nails Taichi with a springboard hip attack.

ACH tags in and he immediately cleans house on the opposing team, ACH then takes out Michinoku with a suicide dive. ACH then hits Taichi with a tornado clothesline in the corner before landing a 450 spkash for a near fall, Taichi eventually slows ACH down by kicking him in the head. Michinoku tags in and he nails ACH with a knee strike for a near fall, Michinoku and ACH have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. ACH would then trip up Michinoku before landing a double stomp, Taguchi tags in and Michinoku almost catches him in a cross face. Taguchi eventually catches Michinoku in an ankle lock after a series of reversals, Taguchi releases the hold to hit Michinoku with an enzaguri followed by a gut buster for a near fall.

Taichi takes out the referee before attacking both opponents with his microphone stand, Michinoku then clobbers Taguchi with a running knee strike for a near fall. Michinoku then locks Taguchi in the cross face and Taguchi gets to the ropes after a long struggle, Taichi hits the ring and Taguchi quickly knocks him out with a drop kick. Taguchi misses a dive and ACH accidentally hits Taguchi on his dive, Taichi and Michinoku hit Taguchi with a super Doomsday Device for a near fall. ACH hits the ring and he takes out both opponents, Taichi then hits Taguchi with an enzaguri for a near fall. Taichi goes for the super kick and Taguchi counters with an ankle lock.

Taichi distracts the referee so Michinoku can nail Taguchi with a super kick into a chair, Taichi goes for a power bomb and Taguchi counters with a roll up for a near fall. ACH hits the ring and he works with taguchi to hit Taichi with a double hip attack, Taguchi hits Taichi with a double under hook slam and ACH follows with a 450 splash. Taguchi then hits Taichi with a running hip attack for a near fall, Taguchi and ACH hit Taichi with a super X-factor for the three count.
