Ring of Honor TV (3/30/2023) Results: Athena vs Sakura, Eddie Kingston, Hijo del Vikingo & More.

Ring of Honor presented the fifth episode of their new era on Thursday, March 30, 2023, and it aired on ROH Honor Club.

The show was headlined by a match between ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta facing off against former NXT North American Champion Leon Ruffin, Eddie Kingston facing off against Christopher Daniels, and ROH Women's Champion Athena defending her title against the legendary Emi Sakura. Elsewhere on the card, Miyu Yamashita & AAA Mega Champion Hijo del Vikingo made her ROH Debuts while Aussie Open, Lucha Bros, RUSH & more competed. ROH TV (3/30/2023).

  • Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher) def. Varsity Athletes (Tony Nese & Ari Daivari) (w/ "Smart" Mark Sterling).
  • Miyu Yamashita def. Shazza McKenzie
  • The Embassy (Kaun, Toa Liona & Brian Cage) def. JD Griffey, Dak Draper & Arjun Singh.
  • Metalik & AR Fox def. The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean).
  • ROH Women's World Championship: Athena (c) def. Emi Sakura (w/ Mei Suruga & Baliyan Akki).
    • After the match, Athena attacked Emi Sakura's injured knee & laid out Mei Suruga, but Yuka Sakazaki made the save and attacked Athena. It was revealed that Sakazaki will challenge Athena for the ROH Women's Title at Supercard of Honor.
  • LFI (RUSH & Dralistico) & The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) (w/ Maria Kanellis-Bennett & Jose the Assistant) def. Top Flight (Dante & Darius Martin) & The Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix) (w/ Alex Abrahantes).
  • 1/2 of the ROH Tag Team Champions Mark Briscoe came to cut a promo, with Mark saying that despite being 1/2 of the greatest tag team in ROH History, he said that the ROH TV Title was his destiny. ROH Television Champion Samoa Joe interrupted Briscoe and reminded him he was the current champion, the greatest ROH World Heavyweight Champion ever & violence manifest and promised Briscoe to lay him out.
  • Jay Lethal was interviewed backstage in an interviewed and confronted Mark Briscoe. Lethal wished Briscoe good luck in his match against Samoa Joe and told him to bring in the ROH Television Championship home.
  • ROH Pure Championship Match: Wheeler Yuta (c) def. Leon Ruffin (BJ Whitmer, Dean Malenko & Jerry Lynn were the judges for the match).
    • After the match, Yuta cut a promo and said that Ruffin's were not enough, much like Shibata's efforts would not be enough to beat him. After that, Katsuyori Shibata confronted Wheeler Yuta for the very first time ahead of their match for the ROH Pure Title on Supercard of Honor. Yuta talked trash to Shibata, but Shibata took the microphone away from Yuta and slammed it to the ground before the two butted heads.
  • El Hijo del Vikingo def. Blake Christian.
    • After the match, Blake Christian was interviewed backstage by Dasha Fuentes, but was immediately interrupted by Prince Nana. Nana told him to do himself a favor and skip the ROH Six-Man Tag Title match, but Christian told him "Na an". Kaun, Toa Liona & Brian Cage attacked him backstage afterward.
  • Eddie Kingston def. Christopher Daniels.
    • After the match, ROH World Heavyweight Champion Claudio Castagnoli confronted Eddie Kingston inside the ring and held the new ROH Title over Kingston's face while mouthing "You will never become champion. NEVER". Kingston the referee rang the bell right now for the title, but Claudio walked away. Kingston said that he needed to become a World Champion and said that he promised his mother he would not focus to have a wife because he was focused to be World Champion. Kingston ran down on Claudio he remembered when dressed up like "A fucking clown" and told Claudio to head back to the circus before demanding the crowd to buy the PPV and promised the crowd to become ROH Champion.
