Ring of Honor presented the ninth episode of their new era on Thursday, April 27, 2023, and it aired on ROH Honor Club.

Athena faced Lady Frost in a Proving Grounds match for the ROH Women's Championship, Blake Christian faced Gringo Loco, and Rocky Romero faced Lee Moriarty in a singles match.   • ROH Women's World Championship - Proving Ground Match: Athena (c) def. Lady Frost.
  • The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Mike Bennett & Maria Kanellis-Bennett) cut a promo backstage saying that they should be in contendership for the ROH Tag Titles, but they have instead been disrespected by Top Flight. The Kingdom said that they would teach all the "melvins" that cost them the tag titles and take all the honor that they should be given.
  • La Faccion Ingobernables (RUSH & Preston Vance) (w/ Jose The Assistant) def. The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Captain Shawn Dean).
  • Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta) def. Joe Ocasio & Mookie Summers.
  • Brian Cage (w/ Prince Nana) def. Leon Ruffin.
  • Dark Order (Evil Uno & Stu Grayson) def. The Trustbusters (Jeeves Kay & Sonny Kiss) (w/ Slim J).
    • The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch) watched the match from the ramp.
  • Christopher Daniels was interviewed backstage by Dasha Fuentes, saying that he was right now at one of his all-time lows, but said that he understood that nothing comes easy in ROH, even with his accolades because he had to earn everything he wants & desires. Daniels challenged Samoa Joe, saying that he was not afraid to go to war against him again.
  • Skye Blue def. Diamante.
    • Athena stomped Blue's hat on the ramp after the match, calling out Blue.
  • Lee Moriarty (w/ Big Bill) def. Rocky Romero.
    • Rocky Romero gave Lee Moriarty praise for out-smarting him in a sneaky style, but then challenged Moriarty to a Pure Rules rematch for next week.
  • Blake Christian def. Gringo Loco.
  • ROH Pure Rules Championship Match: Samoa Joe (c) def. James Gibson.
    • This match was rerun from the 2005 ROH Event "New Frontiers".
