WOH Championship Tournament Round 1 Review: Kelly Klein vs Bonesaw Brooks

Kelly Klein has a gimmick that works in ROH because they don't have the MMA fighters of the world. Both pre-match promos came off as very scripted, but Klein's gimmick is that she's a bit of a robotic killer.

The early going is a far cry from the Leon/Rayne match, and that's a good thing. Klein hits a body press into the buckles hard. Klein getting powered around is very new, and Bonesaw more than fits the bill. Everything they're doing looks convincing, especially these guard rail spots.

The Undertaker: A Seven-Year-Old Named Bjorn Threatened To Shoot Me In The Face And Called Me A Democrat

ROH has the benefit of having a wider matted ringside area and it really gave them more space to work outside the ring. There were some gnarly bumps out there before they went inside the ring and stiffed each other a few times. Klein caught Bonesaw with a cool looking chokeslam/sidewalk slam variation that didn't get the job done. Klein and Brooks trade suplexes, including a Tiger suplex from Bonesaw Brooks.

A huge slam from Klein and a big knee to the face get the job done. Excellent showing.

Match rating: 6.75/10

Bonesaw and Klein are tearing it up. Almost a shame they're in an opening match, because this would have been a good late round match that could have showcased more of them throughout this tourney.
