WWE Main Event Report For March 2: Goldust vs. Curt Hawkins & Akira Tozawa In Action

Akira Tozawa vs. Ariya Daivari

The match begins with Daivari kicking Tozawa in the midsection, Tozawa recovers to nail Daivari with chops and punches. Tozawa corners Daivari before stomping away on him, Tozawa rolls through a sunset flip to nail Daivari with a penalty kick followed by a senton bomb. Tozawa corners Daivari again before kicking away at him, Tozawa goes to the middle rope and Daivari pulls him off before landing a neck breaker. Daivari gets Tozawa up before landing a back suplex for a near fall, Tozawa recovers to nail Daivari with a few strikes. Daivari trips up Tozawa and he nails him with a few strikes of his own, Daivari then smashes the head of Tozawa on the top turnbuckle.

Tozawa fights back and he cracks Daivari with strikes in the corner, Daivari recovers and he nails Tozawa with a reverse DDT for a near fall. Daivari slows things down to hold Tozawa in a modified chin lock, Tozawa fights back again and he nails Daivari with a hurricarana. Tozawa goes to the top rope and Daivari rolls out of the ring, Tozawa would then hit Daivari with a suicide dive. Tozawa gets Daivari in the ring before landing a missile drop kick for a near fall, Daivari avoids a swinging Tozawa to land a super kick followed by a frog splash for a near fall. Daivari misses a hammerlock lariat and Tozawa rolls him up for a near fall, Tozawa hits Daivari with a whirlwind kick and top rope senton bomb for the three count.

Winner: Akira Tozawa

- Highlights from the men’s Elimination Chamber match air.

- The first Raw Flashback shows Roman Reigns trashing Brock Lesnar after Lesnar didn’t appear on the show.

- We then see highlights of John Cena’s appearance on Raw Talk, followed by Cena appearing on Raw trying to figure out his path to Wrestlemania 34.

- A Smackdown Flashback is next and we see how John Cena qualified for the WWE Title Match next weekend at WWE Fastlane.

Goldust vs. Curt Hawkins

The match begins with Goldust wrenching away on the arm of Hawkins, Goldust gets Hawkins in a headlock and Hawkisn does the same to him. Hawkins gets to the ropes and Goldust slaps him in the behind, Goldust then hits Hawkins with a shoulder tackle. Goldust taunts Hawkins before landing an atomic drop followed by a right, Hawkins fakes allowing Goldust to pin him before rolling Goldust up for a near fall. Hawkins then nails an angry Goldust with a clothesline as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Hawkins hit Goldust with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall. Goldust starts fighting back and he hits Hawkins with the Golden Cross out of nowhere for a three count.

Winner: Goldust

- We then see highlights of Ronda Rousey’s WWE debut at WWE Elimination Chamber.

- The final Raw Flashback shows Triple H & Stephanie McMahon confront Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle about the situation at Elimination Chamber. It all ends with Stephanie apologizing to Rousey and Triple H nailing Angle with a cheap shot.
