On October 10, 2023, WWE hosted a new episode of NXT on the USA Network. The show was headlined by Carmelo Hayes, accompanied by John Cena, facing Bron Breakker, alongside Paul Heyman.

Also on the show, Cody Rhodes was set to make an announcement & Asuka faced Roxanne Perez. The full results are listed below.

WWE NXT (10/10/2023).

  • Cody Rhodes began the broadcast to make his big announcement. Rhodes reflected on being back in NXT before revealing that he had two announcements for tonight. He announced that NXT will host the NXT Men's Breakout Tournament & the NXT Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic before announcing that he was the Special Guest General Manager of NXT for the night.
    NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov came to the ring to speak with Rhodes, but was immediately interrupted by NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio & Rhea Ripley. Dominik challenged Dragunov to a match for the NXT Title, with Rhodes announcing LA Knight as the Special Guest Referee.
  • Asuka def. Roxanne Perez.
    • Shotzi joined Vic Joseph & Booker T on the broadcast team for the match. Shotzi announced she & Scarlett would be hosting NXT Halloween Havoc.
      After the match, Shotzi attacked Kiana James after James tried to attack Perez.
  • Pub Rules Match: Ridge Holland, Butch & Tyler Bate) def. Gallus (Mark Coffey, Joe Coffey, & Wolfgang).
  • There was a video package promoting the match between Lyra Valkyria & NXT Women's Champion Becky Lynch ahead of their bout on NXT Halloween Havoc.
  • Lyra Valkyria was interviewed by McKenzie Mitchell but was immediately interrupted by Tega Nox. Nox asked Valkyria if she could delay her match against Lynch next week, but Valkyria said that she waited too long to have her match against Lynch.
  • John Cena came to the ring to cut a promo. He thanked the NXT crowd for joining him tonight but was interrupted by Bron Breakker. Breakker told Cena that the NXT crowd was here to see him, but Cena responded by wishing Breakker good luck on his match later tonight. Breakker hit a punch on Cena and went for a Spear, but Cena evaded. Cena went for the Attitude Adjustment, but Breakker rolled out of the ring.
  • The NXT Tag Team Champions The Family (Tony D'Angelo & Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo) suggested to Cody Rhodes a Battle Royal to determine the #1 Contenders for the Tag Titles, which Rhodes accepted and booked for next week.
  • Baron Corbin was interviewed backstage, saying that Ilja Dragunov was ducking him and that he deserved a shot at the NXT Championship.
  • NXT Championship Match - LA Knight as Special Guest Referee: Ilja Dragunov (c) def. Dominik Mysterio (w/ Rhea Ripley).
    • Finn Balor & JD McDonagh tried to interfere, but LA Knight laid them out. Rhea Ripley tried to hit Dragunov with a championship, but Trick Williams caught Ripley in his arms. This distraction allowed Dragunov to hit the Torpedo Moscow for the pinfall win & title retention.
    • Baron Corbin tried to confront Dragunov after the match, but DIJAK attacked Dragunov from behind. DIJAK told Corbin that Dragunov was his.
  • John Cena spoke with Trick Williams & Carmelo Hayes. Trick Williams asked John Cena when he learned it was his time, to which Cena responded by pulling him to the side.
  • Jade Cargill arrived at the NXT Capitol Wrestling Center, where she was greeted by Shawn Michaels.
  • Baron Corbin confronted Cody Rhodes backstage and demanded a title shot against Dragunov for the NXT Title. Rhodes told him that he would get a title shot if he was able to beat DIJAK & the winner of Breakker & Hayes in a Triple Threat next week.
  • Dominik Mysterio was confronted by Nathan Frazer, who called Mysterio a massive fraud.
  • NXT Women's Breakout Tournament - 1st Round Match: Lola Vice (w/ Elektra Lopez) def. Dani Palmer.
  • Thea Hail returned to classes in Chase University, but only on the condition that Jacy Jayne joined the class. Jayne was caught on the phone. Another pulled out his phone before Chase shouted at the student. Jayne revealed that Andre Chase & Duke Hudson will be involved in the Bada Bing Bada Boom Battle Royal next week.
  • Bron Breakker was training backstage ahead of the main event before Paul Heyman joined in. Heyman said Breakker was the future, saying that the only person standing in his way was Carmelo Hayes. Breakker said that it did not matter who stood in his way, he would break them all.
  • Brian Pillman Jr cut a promo backstage, where he revealed that he would taking the last name "King".
  • Tiffany Stratton, Fallon Henley, Kelani Jordan & Blair Davenport met with Asuka backstage.
  • Carmelo Hayes (w/ John Cena) def. Bron Breakker (w/ Paul Heyman).
    • Bron Breakker tried to attack Hayes with the Stairs, but John Cena pulled the stairs out of Breakker's hands. Solo Sikoa attacked John Cena, leading to Hayes hitting the Diving Leg Drop on Breakker for the win.
    • Breakker hit a spear on Hayes and stated that he was the only badass in WWE, which led to The Undertaker making his NXT debut. Breakker confronted Undertaker, with Breakker saying that there was only one badass around here. Undertaker put over Breakker and stated that he would be a top talent one day, but not today. Undertaker hit a jab on Breakker before hitting him with a Chokeslam. Undertaker told Breakker that there would always be a badass around the corner before saying that he had met with the baddest of them all. Hayes & Undertaker stood tall to end the broadcast.
