WWE NXT Halloween Havoc (10/31/2023) Results: Ilja Dragunov vs Carmelo Hayes, Dominik Mysterio, More

On October 31, 2023, WWE hosted Night One of NXT Halloween Havoc on the USA Network, hosted by Scarlett & Shotzi. The show was headlined by Ilja Dragunov defending his NXT Championship against Carmelo Hayes in their third encounter for the belt.

Also on the show, The Creed Brothers faced the team of Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza in a Tables, Ladders & Scares Match, Dominik Mysterio defended his NXT North American Title against Nathan Frazer, Chelsea Green & Piper Niven defended their WWE Women's Tag Belts against Jacy Jayne & Thea Hail & more. NXT Halloween Havoc Night Two (10/31/2023).

• After a vignette showing Shotzi & Scarlett arriving dressed up as "The Ghostbusters" & with New Years Day performing "Hurts Like Hell", Vic Joseph & Booker T welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning into the opening match.
• Tables, Ladders, and Scares Match: The Creed Brothers (Julius Creed & Brutus Creed) (w/ Ivy Nile) def. Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza.
• Shotzi & Scarlett (dressed as Pennywise the Clown & a scary monster) were playing with an Ouija Board backstage, but they were interrupted by the returning Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre. Fyre & Dawn promised to take over for them for the show.
• McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Tiffany Stratton regarding Fallon Henley's impersonation last week, but Stratton stormed out of the interview immediately.
• Joe Gacy had a vignette backstage, where he stated that he had made a lot of mistakes since joining NXT. Gacy said that he now has no strings on him.
• Stratton attacked Fallon Henley from behind, laying out Henley before wrapping Henley in the ring post and locking in a Figure Four.
• The Meta Four (Noam Dar, Jakara Jackson, Oro Mensah & Lash Legend) (dressed up as the Scooby Doo Gang) walked around the Haunted House to get Dar's Heritage Cup trophy. They were spooked by two mysterious figures. The vignettes will continue later in the night.
• NXT North American Championship Match: Dominik Mysterio (c) def. Nathan Frazer.
  • After the match, Wes Lee made his NXT Return and attacked Mysterio. Lee set his sights on regaining the NXT North American Championship.
• Jacy Jayne spoke with Andre Chase before Duke Hudson & Thea Hail joined them. Tony D'Angelo & Channing Lorenzo told them that they wanted another shot at the gold. Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn (dressed as Poison Ivy & Harley Quinn) appeared in the background making fun of Hail & Jayne's "innocence" as a tag team.
• Back in the Haunted House, Jakara Jackson was motivated to fight but was greeted by a zombie hand before running away. She then was greeted by a monster with no eyes before she passed out. Mensah tried to look for Jackson, but a child scared him before he was attacked by Akira Tozawa/ Lash Legend tried to look for the trophy under a carpet, but was scared by a monster before being pulled by a Pumpkin Monster. More vignettes will continue later in the night.
• Bron Breakker def. Mr. Stone.
  • After the match, Breakker tried to toss the stairs on Stone's head, but Von Wagner made his NXT Return to make the save. Wagner hit a Chokeslam on Breakker in the stairs and tried to squash Breakker with the stairs, but Breakker escaped. Security guards & referees separated Breakker & Wagner.
• There was a video vignette recapping Lyra Valkyria winning the NXT Women's Title against Becky Lynch from Night One of NXT Halloween Havoc. She will return next week.
• OTM (Lucien Price, Bronco Nima & SCRYPTS) cut a promo talking about their life struggles before calling out The Brawling Brutes (Butch & Ridge Holland).
• WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Chelsea Green & Piper Niven (c) vs. Chase University (Thea Hail & Jacy Jayne) (w/ Andre Chase & Duke Hudson).
  • Jayen tried to use the NXT Tag Title, but Chase pulled it away from Jayne. Green saw the distraction and hit the Killswitch for the pinfall win & title retention. Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn (dressed as Chucky & Tiffany from Child's Play) watched the match from the Raven's Nest.
• Lexis King was interviewed by McKenzie Mitchell backstage, where he stated that he was happy with the buzz created for him and said that everyone would wait & see what he does.
• NXT Women's Breakout Tournament - Final: Lola Vice (w/ Elektra Lopez) def. Kelani Jordan.
• Back in the Haunted House, Noam Dar finally retrieved the NXT Heritage Cup and was happy to regain it, but he was confronted by all the monsters from the Haunted House. Tozawa told Dar that he only wanted a shot at the Heritage Cup, which Dar granted for next week as long as he was allowed to escape. Dar got the cup back but was attacked by the monsters.
• The Unholy Union of Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn (dressed as Maleficient & Ursulla) were speaking backstage talking before Mr. Stone & Von Wagner appeared arguing with each other. Wagner demanded Stone to try & make a match between himself & Breakker as soon as possible.
• NXT Championship Match: Ilja Dragunov (c) def. Carmelo Hayes.
  • In the last parts of the match, Drragunov went for the Diving Forearm on Hayes, but Hayes caught him mid-air with a Code Breaker. Hayes climbed to the top rope, but he was distracted by Trick Williams making his NXT Return. Dragunov saw the distraction and hit a Superplex before hitting the Torpedo Moscow for the win & title retention.
  • After the match, Trick Williams met with Carmelo Hayes in the ring. As Williams & Hayes had a store down, Baron Corbin attacked Ilja Dragunov to end the broadcast.
