Welcome to the FIghtful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE NXT! Tonight we have a Takeover level show as Asuka is set to face off against Liv Morgan after Liv called her out last week and Asuka was more than happy to see hos she stacks up; Asuka believing that she has cleared out the division and that Liv isn't ready for her. -We open with William Regal in the ring talking about the Dusty Rhodes' Tag Team Classic coming back this year. Regal says that the finals will be on NXT Takeover Toronto and that the brackets will be released on social media in the coming days.
Tye Dillinger vs Angelo Dawkins
Dawkins talks to Tye who hits a snapmare then does his signature ten fingers pose, Angelo hitting Tye with a right hand then hits him with a right hand in the corner, only for Tye to put him in the corner and hit him with a chop. Dawkins misses a splash then Tye drops him with a flying forearm, following it up with a lariat then stomps him in the corner. Tye hits a side russian leg sweep then hits the Tye Breaker; think Ushigaroshi, for the pin and the win.
Winner: Tye Dillinger via pinfall with the Tye Breaker
-After the match Bobby Roode comes out as Tye is leaving, meeting him on the ramp. Bobby says that his win was impressive, but he's not a 10 yet. Roode asks Tye to team up with him for the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and Tye agrees.
-Hideo Itami is interviewed backstage, talking about his match with the debuting Lince Dorada, then says that he may need to put Aries to sleep.
The Ealy Brothers vs The Revival
These guys are identical twins that wear the same clothing so it's impossible to tell them apart. Samoa Joe comes out and kills them before the match can start however so we don't have to worry about it tonight.
Winner: No Contest Samoa Joe destroyed the Ealy Brothers
-After the match Joe says these are the first two victims until Regal brings him Shinsuke Nakamura or the belt. We get a plug for Dan Matha debuting next week.
Mandy Rose vs Ember Moon
They shove each other then Mandy kicks Ember and drops her with a right hand. Ember hits Mandy with a series of kicks then a fallaway slam before a springboard crossbody for a quick 2 count. Mandy hits a bicycle knee for a quick 2 count of her own that turns Moon inside out then follows it up with a spinning facebuster for a close 2 count. Mandy goes for another pin immediately and still only gets a 2 count. Ember hits her with the Eclipse for the pin and the win.
Winner: Ember Moon via pinfall with the Eclipse
-Ciampa and Gargano are interviewed backstage where they say that they intend to end the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
The Authors of Pain vs Jobbers
The match starts with Akum splashing the one with purple hair then they hit them with knees before a double gut buster, Razar dragging the other in and picking him up and throwing him out of the ring. They hit a lariat russian leg sweep for the pin and the win.
Winner: The Authors of Pain via pinfall
-After the match Paul says they essentially going to join the Dusty Tag Team Classic.
-William Regal is interviewed backstage about Shinsuke, saying that he can't get a hold of Shinsuke on the phone. Blake and Murphy interrupt him, saying they want to be in the Tag Classic. Blake and Murphy start arguing then leave after Regal says they haven't gotten their act together yet.
Asuka vs Liv Morgan
They lockup to start the match with a clean break, but Liv shoves her then they lock up again. Liv hits a dropkick then a series of forearms that just makes Asuka angry as she puts her to the mat and applies a submission; a shoulder lock basically, for the pin and the win. Liv just got beaten in record time.
Winner: Asuka via submission
-After the match Asuka is interviewed about her next "victim" and says that no one is ready for her.
Hideo Itami vs Lince Dorado
They lock up then Lince hits Itami with a headscissors, Dorado showing off his athleticism with various flipping moves, he's just too fast for Itami; well until he catches him with a kick in mid air then turns him inside out with a knee then hits a penalty kick. Itami hits a series of knee drops then does his signature jumping over the head and kicking the face with his heel. Itami goes up to the top rope, but Lince dropkicks him off the top rope then kicks him through the ropes before hitting a springboard moonsault off the apron as we go to commercial.
Dorado is in control as we come back, focusing on Hideo's wrist with a submission then stomping on his hand before dropping Hideo with a leg lariat for a quick 2 count. Itami gets to the top rope and drops Lince with a clothesline, following it upwith his signature kicks and punches. Hideo goes for the hesitation dropkick, but Lince gets out of the way and rolls Itami up for a quick 2 count. Lince springboards right into a GTS, but gets out and Lince gets a series of 2 counts before Lince drops him with a kick to the head. Lince goes for a shooting star press, but misses then Itami kicks Lince ala Shibata then follows it up with the hesitation dropkick. Itami hits the GTS for the pin and the win.
Winner: Hideo Itami via pinfall with the Go To Sleep
-Aries attacks Hideo after the match, but Hideo recovers and Aries leaves as soon as he does.
