WWE RAW Results (1/31/22): Ronda Rousey Chooses WrestleMania Opponent, Brock Lesnar Returns + More!

Welcome to Fightful.com's live coverage & discussion for Monday Night RAW. We'll be bringing you full, fight-by-fight results of every match on the card.

The show begins and we see highlights from this past weekend's Royal Rumble premium live event. We cut to the live set and Jimmy Smith, Byron Saxton and Corey Graves are on commentary and they kick it to the ring where Adam Pearce is in the ring. Pearce runs down what we saw in both rumble matches. Pearce says there's one more pit stop on the road to WrestleMania and that's next month's Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia which will see new WWE Champion Bobby Lashley defend his title against five competitors at the aforementioned Saudi event. Lashley's music hits and he and MVP make their way out to the ring. MVP tells Pearce that Lashley pinned Lesnar in the middle of the ring last weekend and says it's not fair that Lashley has to go back to battle in just three weeks against five other men that'll be chomping at the bit to take his title inside of the 'most barbaric' structure in professional wrestling. Lashley asks Pearce who the hell does he think he is and says he should be celebrating his win over Lesnar and last weekend he proved that he's a better amateur wrestler than Lesnar, he's a better mixed martial artist and he's a better WWE Champion and out comes the winner of the men's Royal Rumble match...Brock Lesnar, who's wearing his fighting gear. Lesnar's all smiles as he makes his way to the ring and Lashley doesn't look to pleased inside of the ring. Lesnar gets in the ring and tells MVP to shutup, who tried to get a word in. Lesnar threatens to shove MVP's walking stick up his ass then directs his attention to Lashley. Lesnar asks Lashley if he's going to stand there and continue to pretend that he's the WWE Champion. Lesnar says they both know that he didn't lose to Lashley Saturday night and says the only way he beat him is because of Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman. Lesnar says he's not mad at Lashley but he is mad at Reigns and Heyman and admits they had a great match until the interference from Reigns and Heyman. Lesnar says he took it upon himself to enter the Royal Rumble...which he won and now he can choose either Lashley (or whoever walks out of Elimination Chamber with the WWE Title) or Reigns to challenge at WrestleMania. Lesnar tells Lashley not to worry because he's not choosing him and he's challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania. Lesnar says but where Lashley comes in, is Lesnar vs. Reigns will be title versus title. Lesnar says since he's already dressed to fight, he's challenging Lashley to his rematch for the WWE Championship TONIGHT. Lesnar says MVP is holding Lashley back, MVP interrupts and says Lesnar can go to the back of the line and his challenge is DECLINED. Lesnar calls Lashley a chicken shit, Lashley is irate, MVP's holding him back, Adam Pearce is asking Lashley what he wants to do and Lashley exits the ring, much to the appreciation of MVP. Pearce says Lashley may have gotten away from defending his title tonight but at the Elimination Chamber event, Brock Lesnar will be one of Lashley's five challengers for the WWE Championship. We then see a video package highlighting the break-up of Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H.'s tag team then Ripley makes her way to the ring before we head to a commercial break.

We then see Kevin Patrick backstage, who welcomes us to round number two of the challenge. Riddle and Chad Gable are the challengers in tonight's scooter race. Riddle says he dedicates this race to Randy Orton, Gable tells Riddle to 'shoosh' and says a scooter race should've even be involved in an academic challenge. The rules for the event are 50 laps around the arena and the winner will be the man who completed all 50 laps and crosses the finish line that's at the ringside area. Owens says the Royal Rumble was a great success and now Monday Nighy RAW has a new almighty WWE Champion and we're officially on the road to WrestleMania, which is two nights, which means 'double the stupendous-ness'. Owens says once he beats the 'protected and sheltered' Austin Theory, he'll be in the Elimination Chamber match in a few weeks and he'll head to WrestleMania as WWE Champion. Owens says that's all great but tonight is about the guest of the evening...Seth Freakin' Rollins, who makes his way out to the ring. Owens thanks Rollins for being there, Rollins says Cincinnati is the hottest city in the country and even though he's not 100 percent, he wouldn't miss this for the world. Owens shows footage of Rollins' match against Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble from this past weekend, a match that Rollins would win via DQ but meant Reigns would retain his title. Owens says what Roman did to Rollins was disgusting and shameful. Owens says Reigns got himself intentionally disqualified because he knew that he couldn't beat Rollins. Owens says while Rollins isn't officially the Universal Champion, he's the Universal Champion is his heart. Rollins says while he's not there with the Universal Champion, he did acquire something else, which is a permanent piece of real estate in the brain of Roman Reigns and next time they lock horns, he'll bring home the Universal Title. Rollins says what he and Reigns have is SmackDown business and this is Monday Night RAW and says he comes with a special announcement for next month's Elimination Chamber match. Owens gives Rollins a drum roll and Rollins says that he's officially one of the participants in the Elimination Chamber match alongside Brock Lesnar and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. Owens says he's happy for Rollins and when he beats Austin Theory, he'll join Rollins in the chamber. Owens asks Rollins if he knows where Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville are and says they should go up to them and say they should put him [Owens] in the Elimination Chamber without having to qualify or Rollins is out. Austin Theory interrupts and makes his way down to the ring and Owens vs. Theory is next after the break.

Riddle (and the crowd) say Gable's a cheater. Gable says he's never been a cheater in his life, he didn't cheat to get on the Olympic team, he didn't cheat to get his Masters and he didn't cheat to graduate with a 4.0 GPA. Back from the break and it's announced that WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff will be on RAW Talk after tonight's show ends. Out comes the 2022 women's Royal Rumble winner 'The Baddest Woman On The Planet', Ronda Rousey. Ronda makes her way to the ring, takes a long look at the WrestleMania sign and says she's been debating since Saturday who's title she wants to take at WrestleMania, Charlotte's or Rebecca's. Ronda says she has unfinished business with both and she could choose Becky but she doesn't deserve the spotlight because the biggest fight is always against Ronda Rousey and Becky's 'stagnant' title reign isn't her problem. Ronda says she could choose Charlotte just to prove that Rebecca is still on her under-card and everyone will know the baddest big time bitch is her. Ronda throws the mic down and out comes RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch. Becky says she missed 'Ronnie, the little weirdo'. Becky says it's nice to see 'Ronnie' hasn't changed and says she loses credibility when she says things like that since she's the only woman who was able to beat her [Ronda] and nobody's beaten her [Becky] ever since. Becky says she didn't think she'd ever see Ronda back around there again and there's only one match that everyone wants to see and that's Ronda Rousey versus Becky Lynch but since this is her first WrestleMania back, she wouldn't blame Ronda if she wanted to face Charlotte and have a 'nice, little appetizer' before going for the main meal but if she wants to go 'straight for the meat and potatoes' and chose her [Becky], she's game but she wants a decision soon since the RAW women's division is hotter than its ever been and she wants to know who she's going to beat next. Ronda tosses Becky down and grabs her arm then says everyone will get their answer on Friday. Ronda exits, Becky looks on and says 'Ronnie' fears Becky but maybe Ronda just wanted to get out of Cincinnati as fast as she does. WWE Hall of Famer Lita's music hits and she makes her way down to the ring! Lita says Ronda's rude and asks what her problem is. Becky says she's been saying that about 'Ronnie' for the last four years. Lita says Becky's the GOAT, Becky thanks her. Lita says she knew from the second she met Becky, she knew she'd be right in this spot. Becky says she's always been a fan of Lita, who says she respects how much of a fighting champion Becky is. Becky asks what Lita's getting at and Lita says she was thinking maybe they can have a match at Elimination Chamber. Becky immediately says no, the crowd reigns down boos, Lita says she thought Becky never backs down from a challenge, Becky says she took her out of context, the crowd continues to heavily jeer. Lita says it's a lot of work defending a championship and Becky can just admit that she's scared. Becky says she's many things but scared is not one of them and if Lita wants a match at Elimination Chamber, she has it! Lita's music hits, she exits and Becky looks on in dismay as the show goes off-the-air!
