WWE SmackDown (10/27/2023) Results: Roman Reigns & LA Knight Contract Signing, Bianca Belair, More

On October 27, 2023, WWE hosted a new episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FS1.

The show was headlined by Roman Reigns & LA Knight participating in a Contract Signing for their match at Crown Jewel. Full results are listed below.

  • Corey Graves, Michael Cole & Kevin Patrick welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning into the opening segment.
  • Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns (w/ Paul Heyman) made his entrance, but he was immediately interrupted by LA Knight walking past him to make his own entrance ahead of their contract signing, moderated by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. LA Knight immediately signed the contract and said that Reigns was going to hand off the title to Knight.
    Roman Reigns was bamboozled but said that he was going to "go gentle" on Knight because it was his first time challenging for the WWE World Title before signing the contract.
    After Aldis left the ring with the signed contract, Knight continued to talk to Reigns. Knight said that while Reigns was saying "suffering succotash" he was running around the scene proving whose game it is. Knight said that he himself could not stop his own momentum and promised to not stop against Reigns at Crown Jewel. Reigns attacked Knight before bringing a table to the ring. Knight fought back and stomped away at Reigns, but Jimmy Uso attacked Knight as Reigns left the ring. Uso went for a Thrust Kick, but Knight caught him and hit a Back Drop Driver into the table. Knight stood tall in the ring.
  • Latino World Order (Santos Escobar & Carlito) vs. The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) (w/ Bobby Lashley).
    • While the match was happening, Logan Paul attacked Rey Mysterio. Carlito was instructed to check on Mysterio by Escobar. Escobar tried to fight off The Street Profits, but Dawkins & Ford hit The Revelation (Sky High/ Neckbreaker combo) for the win.
  • Roman Reigns was with Paul Heyman, who was holding a Custom WWE Title for the Green Bay Packers. Heyman said that he would gift that belt to LA Knight because it would be the closest he would be to a title.
    Jimmy Uso then met with Reigns backstage after returning from the Trainer's Rooms. Reigns told Uso that he needed to take care of Knight, but Uso was not cleared for the night. Reigns told Heyman to make LA Knight vs Jimmy Uso for later.
  • Logan Paul was interviewed by Cathy Kelley, but Paul responded by saying that his fist being the same size as Rey Mysterio's head was the reason why weight classes exist. Logan Paul confronted Kevin Owens before saying his Rey Mysterio T-Shirt was wack.
    Kevin Owens was confronted by Grayson Waller & Austin Theory before being stopped by Jamie Noble. Owens then hit a double-jab on Waller & Theory before gleefully shouting at Noble the following: "LOOK JAMIE, I PUNCHED THEM IN THE FACE!".
  • Dragon Lee was interviewed backstage but was interrupted by Cedric Alexander. Alexander said that seeing Dragon Lee lights up the competitor in him before challenging him to a match, which Lee accepted.
  • There was a segment of Piper Niven & Chelsea Green talking trash to Nick Aldis & Shotzi, with Shotzi asking Aldis to a match, which he agreed to.
  • Shotzi def. Chelsea Green (w/ Piper Niven).
  • John Cena came to the ring to cut a promo. He reflected on when he first made his WWE debut when he nearly got fired, but he was still in the business because of the fans giving the love & respect, but he admitted that he felt that he could lose the love & respect of the fans for the first time in 20 years. He then admitted that his match against Solo Sikoa was a must-win.
    Cena was then interrupted by Paul Heyman, who put over Cena for being a draw, saying that it all started when he drafted Cena into SmackDown. Heyman said that Cena was no longer the best of all time, but he was one of the best promos in WWE History, saying that he could have been a great manager until he messed with The Bloodline. Heyman stated that Sikoa hits the Samoan Spike and his run as a promo is over. Sikoa attacked Cena and hit a Spinning Uranage & the Samoan Spike on Cena, laying him out in the ring.
  • LA Knight cut a promo backstage, saying that he had not forgotten about Roman Reigns spearing him a couple of weeks ago. Knight was going to beat Jimmy Uso tonight ahead of Crown Jewel.
  • Dragon Lee def. Cedric Alexander.
  • Bianca Belair came to the ring to cut a promo, saying that Damage CTRL's attack from two months ago was the only thing playing on her head since her absence, saying that it did something to her physically & mentally. Belair said that her mind was only focused on finding out how to make Damage CTRL pay, saying that she was consumed with vengeance for the first time in her life. Belair said that she would get her rematch for the WWE Women's Championship at Crown Jewel, but she would also face Bayley next week. Belair promised to reclaim her title.
  • LA Knight def. Jimmy Uso.
    • Roman Reigns tried to attack LA Knight after the match, but Knight tossed Reigns into the ring post before spiking him with the BFT. Knight stood tall to end the broadcast.
